To the East of the site, on 48th street, there is a primarily urban feel to the way the buildings are arranged, the way the sidewalks are designed, and the type of retail/ shops that are offered.

The way this site responds to its East and West conditions, is that of a transitional space, going from urban (48th street) to suburban (47th street). Creating a sense of transition is one of the characteristics that the proposed building should offer.

To the East of the site, towards 47th street, it is considered one hundred percent residential.

The middle space between the North Wing and the South Wing is to be used as a communal area and a transition space. Tables will serve to restaurants on the first floor.

To the West of the site, is the 25 stall parking lot, with a drop-off area that allows staff and visitors to be dropped-off at the back entrance of the building.

WEST EXTERIOR VIEW

The green space is an extension of the park located Southeast of the site. This will also serve as a transition between the building and the residential area directly East of the site.

Ac Crossroads Public Library year: place:

2

Spring 2011 Omaha, NE

Project consisted in the redevelopment of the crossroads mall area located in Omaha, Nebraska. As a collaboration with other students, the first phase began with the development of a new master plan, layout of potential programming and designation of different sites. With an assigned site for the second phase (individual) of the project, the need for an anchor building was crucial. The program for such building consists of a public library that would replace an existing old and run douwn library located a few blocks from the site. In this case, the new building, as well as the landscape were design to provide a transition as well as a visual connection between the develop area on the East and the existing green space on the left.

Ac Bryan Health East year: place:

4

Fall 2012 Lincoln, NE

Bryan Health East is currently looking at the possibility of expanding their campus to the Northeast area currently occupied with residential homes. This project was divided into two parts. The first two weeks consisted in developing a masterplan of the current campus that would address the addition of a cancer center, a wellness center, short-term housing, long-term housing and parking. The final six weeks of the project was dedicated to develop this program into a more detail area. Our focus in this project was in the relocation of the existing nursing college to the Northeast part of the site in order to begin developing its own identity and campus feel, as well as being more exposed to the people that drive by. Also, the addition of a wellness center located in between the Medical Plaza and the new nursing college, providing a transition space as well as a destination. With this developments we were able to create an experience for the many users through transitions, destinations and focal points.
