WATERPROOF VINYL DECK MEMBRANES

Duradek waterproof vinyl deck membranes offer the advantage of cooler surfaces for roof decks, sundecks and balconies. The Cool-Dek line consists of five colours and are up to 16 per cent cooler than the warmest colour (Legacy Barnwood) and 18 per cent cooler than concrete, the company says. The lighter base colours are said to offer reflective qualities and cleverly designed patterns add depth and style. In comparison, one study found that in direct sunlight, composite decks can reach temperatures from 1° to 24.4°C hotter than the surrounding air.
