Public displays of affection: this is often what irks a lot of people. Some couples don’t know their limits. In fact, they act as if they aren’t surrounded with people. Bravo to you if you found the love of your life, but at the same time, you have to be aware of the others around you. The point here is to never isolate each other or another person because if you do that, no one will want to hang out with you if you often go out as a couple. A full-on kissing and make-out session is out of line, no matter how old you are. Whether it’s puppy love or if it’s with your hubby, you should be aware of what’s right and wrong. So, you want to show the whole world how much you love and adore each other, but then again, there are ways to do this without looking gross or tasteless. Here are just a few simple ways that you can show your significant other how much you love them and still be okay in the eyes of other people:

Staying Together It’s okay to want to sit beside each other often. After all, love makes you gravitate towards the other person. So, sit together all you want but also make sure that you stay involved with the conversations around you. This is a perfect way to whisper sweet-nothings in each other’s ears without letting your buds know what you’re talking about. Nonetheless, always play an active role in the group because there are things that you can talk about when you’re both on your own. Otherwise, when you’re out with the group, then act like you’re actually with them. If you do this, people are more likely to invite you out often. Social gatherings are fun but only if you’re also involved.

Feeding Each Other This is actually a very tricky subject to approach. It’s okay to let him or her taste a portion of your food. Other than that, try to do this only once or twice because you still made the orders separately. The feeding only comes when your partner is curious about what’s on your plate.

Eye-to-Eye Contact This applies to whoever you’re talking to. Etiquette dictates that you always look at the person you’re talking to. If it’s their turn to talk, then look at them and give them a warm smile. When someone else takes the stage, show them the same kind of respect. You’re even allowed to share secret jokes when you’re in a group but don’t let this be too obvious. Otherwise, you’ll have others forcing you share your thoughts about something.

Holding Hands This is perfectly fine. In fact, public hand-holding can sometimes be more significant than kissing, and it’s also more widely accepted. People don’t often feel out of place when you hold hands in front of them. So, let your fingers intertwine, especially when you’re entering an establishment or simply walking along the street. What’s more important is that you can talk to others while doing this.
