Students in white lab coats and safety glasses set up their experiments for the 11th annual Chemistry Club Mole Day. According to chemicalformula.org ,a mole is used to calculate the quantity of chemical substances that are used and produced in a chemical reaction.The event, which took place last week between Franklin and Da Vinci Hall featured several exhibitions. is about chemistry,” exclaimed Ikenna Onyia, vice president of the Chemistry Club. Students attending the performance expressed a curiosity in what chemicals were being used to create those colorful and explosive reactions. Some even developed an interest in joining the club. “[I’m] curious as to what chemicals they were messing with…it looked like a fun little experiment,” said City student Ramsey Issa. The Chemistry Club meets every Wednesday from 4-5 p.m. in the Science and Technology Building room 305.
