ABOUT US
Above all, we love being a creative partner. Since 2004, we’ve helped small, medium, and large nonprofits across the country recognize their donors and bring their mission to more. Our experienced staff creates, designs, constructs, and installs recognition structures and systems that are artistic, timeless, and celebrate philanthropic generosity.
We’ve streamlined the process to make it as effortless and enjoyable as possible for your team. Whether your project is small or large, we’d love to help.
Digital recognition is one of the tools we use to make our donor walls more effective and easier to use. We focus on the user interface design (UI) to make the presentation enjoyable and meaningful.

WHAT IS DIGITAL RECOGNITION?
Digital recognition is a donor wall in a monitor or a group of monitors (video wall) that displays donor names and additional information about the donors, fund raising campaigns, the foundation or about the organization.
A digital donor wall can be non-interactive or interactive. An interactive donor wall allows you to explore the site or search for information by interacting with the screen, like a website.
A digital donor wall needs to be more than just a monitor mounted to the wall. We typically build an enclosure that makes the monitor more integrated into the environment and elevates it’s importance. Often we will incorporate a digital monitor into a physical donor wall.
INITIAL CONTACT
Our team will gather information about your project in our initial meeting. Our goal will be to get the information we need to prepare a meaningful on target proposal. We’ll ask about your expectations for the number and size of monitor(s) and if there are to be additional physical recognition elements. We’ll need to know about the number of donors, donor categories, and all other content that you would like to include.
OUR PROPOSAL
Our proposal is a plan that shows you how we intend to work through the process of creating a digital donor wall. The proposal includes a fee for design services and budget ranges for full implementation.
We often include a schematic design showing the basic elements we think is achievable with your budget.
The schematic design set the parameters we use to calculate a design fee and to establish potential fabrication costs. This is a starting point that is likely to change as we work through the project.
The schematic is based on information we received in our Initial Meeting with you and your team. We are proposing an overall size that fits your space, number of monitors, size of the video wall, and show how much room we have for physical recognition.
INFORMATION GATHERING
We need to learn about your organization, the brand, your vision, and about the area in which the display is located. We want to know more about your donors, your mission and the campaign. This may best be accomplished with a site visit.
Most importantly, we want to make sure we understand exactly what you want to include in the donor wall.
DESIGN EXPLORATION
We then begin a robust design process working closely with your team to create a conceptual design that is exceptional.
The design is refined through a multi phase process until we have very detailed documents showing every one exactly what we intend to do.
33” touchscreen monitor to provide access to many more donors plus information about the Cancer Center and the foundation.
6.5” sq. x 1/2” thick veneer on MDF name plaques. Varying wood species. Names are UV printed. 162 available spaces. 60 include names.
33” non-touchscreen monitor to list all annual donors.
Acrylic with translucent images with rear illumination. Copy tbd. These are easily changeable.
Aluminum trim to hide edges and wires. Also provides protection for the wall.
This is one of several Design Exploration drawings we created for this client. In this example, the project parameters dictated one interactive monitor and one non-interactive monitor.
We also included about 100 spots for physical donor names. These would be reserved for their highest level donors.

INTERACTIVE DESIGN
Design Exploration includes the design of the interactive digital presentation. Our User Interface designers (UI) start with a detailed wire-frame that focuses on how content is presented and the navigation will work.
We then create working prototypes that let you explore the interactive design and share it with your colleagues.

DESIGN APPROVAL
Final Design Approval signals the end of the design phase and the beginning of implementation.
Implementation includes Programming, Fabrication and Installation.
PROGRAMMING / SOFTWARE
At this stage we apply the design and navigation to our Content Management Software. The software runs the program on one or many monitors and allows easy updating and scheduling. If necessary, we can create a custom program with coding to meet the clients' unique needs and often include special, highly detailed animations.
FABRICATION & INSTALLATION
The final steps include fabrication of all physical elements including a donor wall and/or a monitor cabinet. We also purchase all equipment including monitor(s), media players, brackets, etc.
During fabrication we can show you shop drawings and material and finish samples. And you will review and approve final proofs for all copy and donor names.
Installation is a carefully coordinated effort with your facilities and IT departments. This is generally a quiet clean operation that only takes a couple days.
POST INSTALLATION
Once the donor wall is installed we will do all final testing of the program to make sure everything is functional. We will provide training for your staff so they can make quick easy updates. There is a minimal monthly or annual fee to license the software and receive free software upgrades. We host the program on our servers and oversee the display to make sure it is working properly.
EASY UPDATING : SPECIAL FEATURE!
We know that the greatest advantage of a digital donor wall is easy updating for you. But it’s not really easy if you have to learn and remember how to use a complex content management system. So we will update it for you.
Simply open the portal to your account, tell us what donor names are to be added, subtracted, or moved. And we will make the changes for you. You can change copy, titles or add images or videos. We will make the changes within 24 hours. If you prefer, we can set up the Content Management System to be managed by your staff.
