Investigative Summary of Thefts from COMIC CON Exhibitor Eaglemoss Collections (Booth 1520): On Monday 10/17/16 at approximately 4pm, Ken Dixon (KD) received an email regarding missing product from Booth 1520 (Eaglemoss Collections) located in the 3B Hall. Tuesday October 18, 2016: Conclusion: Through enhanced investigative techniques and a coordinated effort with all members of Javits Center Public Safety Team and the NYPD Special Operations Team, this case was resolved quickly with most items stolen being returned to Eaglemoss Collections (photo 2). A majority of the items recovered were returned to the exhibitor with a small amount still unclaimed at the present time and there return is being coordinated with the assistance of the NYPD. The subject that returned items, Frank Patz (photo 1, 3 & 5) was arrested by members of the NYPD’s Special Operations Team and has identified other subjects that were observed within booth 1520. The preliminary on site interview/investigation by NYPD implicates the owner of Vintage Movie Posters (booth 1520) as (Michael Carbonaro) as knowing these thefts were occurring and product was being brought back to his booth. As additional subjects are identified, their identities will be shared with Comic Con so that they may take precautions moving forward and all will be banned from accessing the Javits Center.
