SAVE BOB’S TRACTORS
Greetings, This is Bob Payne Jr. I am writing with purpose!
My father died back in October. He had an extensive collection of tractors and implements. Also a vast collection of die cast toys. Many were one of a kind. My Dad spent a good deal of time and lots of back breaking work to earn every tractor he owned, big or small. Shortly after his death, there was an auction to sell off his toy collection. I was not notified of the auction. I found out about it from the secretary at church on the Wednesday before the auction was to happen. The auction was scheduled for Sunday morning, 10 a.m. I was at church. Now, several months later, an ad appears on MWT.net. Apparently my Dad’s tractors are now for sale. Once again I was not notified. In this list of tractors for sale are my Dads most prized, 1954 Super MTAD. The one that he won, the 1980 Richland County Fair 7,500 lbs., class pull. I’m sure you’ve heard that story. His Super W6TA, first tractor he restored. F30 Narrow tread - Tiger, a tractor passed to him when his Daddy died. F20 - Little Jo, another of his Daddy’s tractors. You probably have seen both of these baling straw with the New Holland 77 baler at the Wheels of Time Show. YOU MAY NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN! 560 Turbo, the most sought after tractor in my Dad’s mind. F20 with mounted 2 row 22 b picker, the one he and his Daddy used. The Huber, Twin City and F30 Cane tractors were sold to his “adopted” brother, Billy Davis. So what is my point? The tractors mentioned are in jeopardy of being sold off one by one. These tractors are my fathers legacy! His wishes, while he was alive, and I quote, “These tractors are “NEVER TO BE SOLD, they are to stay in the family!” They were to be passed down to my brother, Andy and I. I am asking for your help and your support to SAVE MY DADDY’S AND HIS DADDY’S TRACTORS! Please write a short statement. Did you know Bob Payne? • How long did you know him? What was Bob known for? Are you aware of his tractors? • In your opinion, how did he feel about his tractors? • Were his tractors for sale? • What do you think he would have wanted to happen with his tractors? • Tell a story about Bob and a tractor? Mail it to: Save Bob’s Tractors - c/o Bob Payne • PO Box 184, Muscoda, WI 53573

ALLISON “BUD/SPEEDY” BOYD JONES
August 6, 2015 Allison “Bud/Speedy”’ Boyd Jones, 74, passed away Thursday August 6, 2015 peacefully in his sleep after a battle with cancer. Bud was born March 20,1941 to Boyd F. and Eleanor V. (Beeman) Jones. He was raised on Buck Creek, where as a young boy every day was an adventure, and he shared many stories of that time with his children. As a young man he worked in canneries, built Harvestore silos and worked at the GM plant in Janesville. Bud was a hard worker and took pride in doing a good job. He easily progressed to supervisor while building the Harvestores and working at the GM plant. Bud enjoyed collecting guns and shooting. It has been said he could shoot clothes pins off the cloths line and bottle caps off a fence post.
He also enjoyed taking his family canoeing and fishing in Minnesota. His last job was a proud owner/operator of a trucking business. Once again he had many stories of his skillful driving and adventures on the road. During his last days with his family, he was still sharing these stories along with the desire to slow down and return to many of the location he never had time to visit while he was on the road. He often talked about his trucking panner George, his fiesty side kick, who was never far from his side. Bud moved to Garber, Oklahoma in 1981 and married Lucille Robenson Masters in Garfield County on November 9, 2011. Bud is survived by his wife, Lucille Jones, of Garber OK, five children, Jackie Kephan and Skip Camen of OK, Jamie and Patsy Jones of Guymon, OK, Becky and Scott Glass of Richland Center, WI, Julie Jones of Oklahoma City, OK, and Doug and Prudence of Sparks OK, three step children, Joe and Susie Morrison of OK, Brian and Amber Masters of Lahome, OK, Julie and Larry Hoffman of Garber, OK; two sisters Virginia Thoma of Madison WI, and Judy Buhmeyer of Richland Center WI; 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his child baby Jones. adno=426289-01

You rely on the land for your livelihood. You understand the special partnership formed when man and nature work in unison. If you choose to heat with wood, a Classic outdoor wood furnace improves your family’s living environment by eliminating the fire hazards, dirt, smoke and time-consuming chore of tending a traditional wood stove.

A Message from the President... A Walk With GRACE theme helps us keep focused on the mission of Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination, Inc. For 2015 it was OUR FIELD OF DREAMS .... STRIKING OUT CANCER. To those affected by cancer they certainly can relate to this theme. As we approach the end of the 2014-2015 fundraising year (August 31) the results will be very good. As of Monday, August 17th, the total was at $263,709.46. There are so many adjectives to describe this - AWESOME, TERIFFIC, GENEROUS, UNBELIEVABLE, FANTASTIC, TREMENDOUS, REMARKABLE, WONDERFUL, CHARITABLE, LOVING, CARING AND MORE. Since last year’s walk many, many people have joined in with compassion, love, and caring devotion to Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination, Inc. to make the current fundraising total possible. Individuals that made items to sell, bought things to donate for auctions, raffles, rummage sales, foods of all kinds that were sold, donations of all kinds from many individuals, businesses, corporations, organizations, and churches. Through your generosity you are making an impact on people’s lives who are stricken with cancer. The battle with cancer is not over. The funds are used wisely for cancer research at Gundersen in La Crosse, UW Carbone Cancer Center in Madison, for financial patient assistance in our service area, for funding to the Richland Hospital Foundation which allows for improved diagnosis, treatment and care of cancer patients and 2% toward prevention education with a very low 3% is used for operating costs. For the Walk, none of this would be possible without the great number of people committed to serving on the Walk With GRACE Committee led by Chair Sue Klingaman and throughout the year by a Board of Directors of 8 people. To all of you, thank you for your endorsement and confidence bestowed upon G.R.A.C.E. THANK YOU TO ALL. Keith E. Behling, President, Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination, Inc.
