JUDITH K. PARKER
December 3, 2017 Judith K. Parker, 75, of Richland Center, and formerly of Janesville, died Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Dycora Transitional Health Riverdale after a long illness. She was born on September 9, 1942 the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Anderson) Pierce in Richland Center. Judy loved her beagles and playing organ for numerous church events. She enjoyed her job as the Secretary for JP Kullen Construction Company and being involved with University of Wisconsin Foundation. Judy is survived by her daughter Mindy Parker of Janesville, granddaughter Loren Parker of Janesville, grandsons: Michael and Brian Parker of Bloomington, IL; two brothers: Lorin (Vickie) Bagby of Rockbridge, Danny (Jerrie) Pierce of Sun City West, AZ; daughterin-law Maureen Parker of Bloomington, IL, many nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her husband Dave, infant son David Parker, son Douglas Parker and her parents. Per Judy’s request no formal services will be held. December 4, 2017 Randy G. Shaw, 65, of Richland Center, died Monday, December 4, 2017, Dycora Transitional Health
Riverdale. He was born on February 6, 1952 in Richland Center, the son of Robert and Velma (Parduhn) Shaw. Randy spent his entire life as a resident of Richland Center. After graduating high school he attended Southwest Wisconsin Technical College studying Auto Body Repair. He worked at Universal Body Shop and Union Street Body Shop in Richland Center. Randy loved the outdoors, trapping, hunting and fishing. Randy is survived by longtime companion and girlfriend Dawn Clarson and her daughter Leah of Richland Center, mother Velma Shaw of Richland Center, and brother Gary Shaw (Ethel) of DeForest. Randy was preceded in death by his father Robert Shaw. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Richland Hospital and Dycora Transitional Health Riverdale for their care and support. Per Randy’s request no formal services will be held. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements. December 5, 2017 Jeanette Arlene Anderson, 86, of Baraboo formerly of Richland Center and Janesville, died Tuesday, December 05, 2017 at St. Clare Meadows in Baraboo. She was born on May 23, 1931 on a farm in Liberty Township near
Viola, the daughter of Everett and Olga (Peterson) Nicks. Jeanette graduated from Richland Center High School in 1949 and the Richland Teachers College in 1951. Jeanette married Everett C. Anderson in Topeka, KS on June 16, 1951. Jeanette was a teacher at Pleasant View School and later worked for Rock County Department of Social Services for 13 years. Jeanette was a member of the First Baptist Church in Richland Center, where she was the treasurer for over 10 years. She loved playing Bridge, putting together puzzles, solving crypto quotes, and going to Ho- Chunk. Jeanette is survived by her children: Bradley (Sarah) Anderson of Muncie, IN, Sharyl Reitz of Baraboo, WI, Sonia (Dale) Thompson of Janesville, WI, Gregory Anderson of Oshkosh, WI; grandchildren: Monica Williams, Jacqueline (Dan Bartusiewicz) Reitz, Krista (Chris) Olsen, Matthew (Janelle) Thompson, Eric Anderson, Lisa (CJ) Peterson, Tasha Anderson, Maia Anderson, Allison Anderson, John Anderson; great-grandchildren: Dante, Sadie, Whitney, Rosemary, Lydia, Alexander, Angelica; brother Ronald Everett Nicks of Milwaukee, WI and Sarasota, FL, other relatives and friends. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Everett (Andy) Anderson, her parents, special grandmother Lura Peterson, and son-in-law Mark Reitz. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 9,2017 at the First Baptist Church in Richland Center with a burial to follow the luncheon in the Viola Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church. December 5, 2017 Veda M. (Davis) Powell age 80 of Onalaska passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center following a 4 ½ year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on May 9, 1937 in Richland County the daughter of Gerald and Margery (Wilson) Davis. Veda was married on April 30, 1955 to Robert Powell and they shared 62 ½ years together. She enjoyed military life with her husband, flower gardening, making floral arrangements and had a gift to decorate and arrange. After retirement Veda and Robert enjoyed traveling south in their motor home. She loved spending time with her family especially her granddaughters, Niki and Toni and great grandson, Malakye. Survivors include her husband, Robert Powell of Onalaska, a daughter, Connie (Bill) Paisley of Onalaska, 2 granddaughters, Niki Paisley of La Crosse, Toni Paisley of Onalaska, a great grandson, Malakye Paisley of La Crosse, 3 siblings, Gordy (Sandra) Davis of Onalaska, Sandy (Steve) Welte of Richland Center, Donald Davis of Richland Center, a brother-in-law, Leslie Ladd of Highland, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. December 10, 2017 L. Duane Olson, 78, of Ithaca, Wisconsin passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 10, 2017. He was born on September 7, 1939 in Iowa County to Otto and Shirley (Anderson) Olson. Duane graduated from Ithaca High School in 1957. He married his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley (Huebsch) Olson, on May 25, 1963 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Keyesville, Wisconsin. Together with his wife, they farmed for over 40 years on their family farm in Ithaca near Aubrey Corners. He loved raising animals and working in the fields. Duane prided himself in always and being there to lend a hand whenever a friend or neighbor needed help. Duane loved hunting, bowling, playing cards and dice, listening to polka music and especially cheering on the Ithaca Bulldogs, Wisconsin

His biggest smiles came from spending time with his family, especially his 5 grandchildren. Duane was proud to serve his community as a 4H member winning many local and State awards showing cattle in younger years followed by becoming a 4H Leader and softball coach. He sold McNess for several years as well as served on the DHIA Board, Farm Bureau Board and for over 25 years on the Ithaca Town Board. Duane is survived by the love of his life, wife, Shirley of Ithaca; children, Heidi of Woodstock, IL; Greg (Sarah) of Ithaca, WI; Julie (Kevin) Quist of Kendall, WI; 5 grandchildren, Shannon Olson Billings of Woodstock, IL, Caleb and Aubrey Olson of Ithaca, WI, Mia and Maddi Quist of Kendall, WI. And brothers, Orville Olson, Richland Center, WI; Robert (Marilyn) Olson, Bear Valley, WI: along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Shirley (Anderson) Olson and 2 infant brothers. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Keyesville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home with Rosary at 3:30 PM. Visitation will also be held at church from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. A Memorial fund will be established in his name.
