After going through some preliminary checks it was determined that I had a disk that was bulging or herniated and putting pressure on a nerve. When I finally came into the clinic it was to the point that I could not sit, I could not sleep, I could not pick anything up off the floor. I spent most of my time pacing around everywhere I went with an ice pack strapped to my back, because that at least felt kind of good. The doctors saw me and put me on the decompression table. I have gone to the clinic for 2 weeks and I feel like a whole new person. I am able to do all of the things that I have not done for myself in a very long time. STH 191 between STH 39 and Bennett Road, from Hollandale to Dodgeville CTH K between CTH ID and STH 14, north of Barneveld CTH Q between CTH CH and CTH B, west of Dodgeville The Iowa County Highway Department will be performing culvert and pavement replacement on portions of CTH K north of Barneveld during the 2017 construction season. CTH K between Mounds Park Road and STH 14 will have periodic spot improvement road closures between Monday, May 29 and Friday, June 9, 2017 for culvert pipe replacements during the daytime hours of 6am and 4pm Monday-Friday during which time the roadway will be impassable. Traffic will be controlled by flagging operations which will require through traffic delays and localized detours. It is recommended to find alternative routes to reach your destinations during this time frame. The anticipated duration of this phase of work will be two weeks. CTH K will return to normal traffic flow on or about June 12 for the remainder of the summer until mid-August. In mid to late August, a pavement replacement project will commence for the same locations from Mounds Park Road to the Orcutt bridge just north of Knight Hollow Road. The pavement replacement project will consist of reducing the existing roadway to a gravel surface for a period of 6 to 8 weeks, then replacing the asphalt driving surface. Commencing on or about August 21, work will occur weekly during the daytime hours of 6am and 5pm Mondays-Fridays inclusive. Delays and localized detours can be expected for these locations during the time frames provided. The roadway is anticipated to be completed and returned to normal traffic flow in early to mid October of 2017. The Iowa County Highway Department will be performing a culvert and spot pavement replacement project on portions of STH 191 between Hollandale and Dodgeville during the weeks of Monday, May 15 and Friday, May 27, 2017 during the daytime hours of 6am and 4pm Mondays-Fridays inclusive. Spot improvements will require for periods of time the roadway will be impassable and traffic detoured. Traffic will be controlled during these time frames utilizing flagging operations, which will result in traffic delays, spot road closures, and localized detours. It is recommended to find alternative routes of travel to reach your destinations during these timeframes. The anticipated duration of this work will be two weeks in May. In the month of June asphalt pavement replacement will occur at the same locations under normal flagging operations. The Iowa County Highway Department will be closing a portion of CTH Q between CTH CH and CTH B west of Dodgeville during the months of June and July. During this time frame the roadway will be closed to all traffic. A concrete box culvert will be replaced over a branch of the Pedlar Creek just south of CTH CH resulting in the roadway being impassable for the duration of the project. Traffic is recommended to utilize other routes (CTH B to STH 23 through Dodgeville to USH 18 or alternatively STH 39 through Linden to USH 18) to reach their destinations during this time frame. The Iowa County Highway Department will host a public information meeting to provide information to citizens for all of these projects on Thursday May 11th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Community Room of the Health & Human Services Building located at 303 W Chapel Street in Dodgeville. Or concerned citizens may contact the Highway Department at 608-935-3381 between the hours of 6am and 4pm Monday-Thursday for any questions.
