Ronald Leon Carter

Ronald Leon Carter, 60, of Richland Center passed away following a battle with cancer in his home on Sunday, September 4, 2022 while surrounded by his loving family. The positive impact he had on everyone he met began when he was born to James and Vicki (Johnson) Carter of La Harpe, IL on September 12, 1961. He was married on September 10, 1983 to the love of his life and best friend, Toni Dunk. Ron built a life around the idea of working hard and playing even harder. He had a love for motorcycles, hunting, and tinkering with all things mechanical. He was lucky to have built a career he loved at S&S Cycle in Viola, WI, where he worked for over 20 years. After learning of his illness, Ron courageously decided to choose, in his words, “quality of life over quantity” and he had just that. His presence, love and wisdom will be deeply missed by his wife of 38 years, Toni Carter of Richland Center, 2 sons, Ian (Ann) Carter of La Crosse, Aaron Carter of Richland Center, daughter, Rachel Carter and boyfriend Michael of Moline, IL, 4 siblings, Robin (Mick) Cosgrove of Richland Center, Rick (Cindy) Carter of Dale, WI, Rory (Kelly) Carter of Omro, WI, Regina (Blair) Collins of Coon Valley, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends each of whom he cared for and loved. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, James “Doc” and Vicki Carter.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Phoenix Center in Richland Center from 5-11 pm with live music from 7-11 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ron’s honor to Agrace hospice at www.agrace.org. Steven Walter Frazier, 64, of Boscobel passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at home with his family by his side. He was born October 25, 1957, in Oconomowoc, WI, the son of Gerald and Ruth Ann (Thompson) Frazier. Steve joined the Navy for 3 years of service. Survivors include his 4 children, Steven (Elise) Frazier of Cuba City, WI, Michael (Cherie) Frazier, Alvin (Lindsay) Frazier, Anna (Ethan) Frazier all of Boscobel, WI; the mother of his children and love of his life, Priscilla Frazier of Richland Center; his father, Gerald Frazier of Genoa; 8 grandchildren, Dakota, Brynleigh, Kaelyn, Breckon, and Avree Frazier, Ahlaya, Meelah, and Kylah Merwin; 7 siblings, Jerry (Nicky) Frazier, Lori Louis, Dave Frazier, Karen (Todd) Schugg, Mary (Thomas) Lowery, Lynn (Kevin) Biba, John Frazier; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Ann Frazier. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center, WI. Edgar Armbruster, 90, of Muscoda, died Monday, September 19, 2022, at the Richland Center Hospital. He was born on August 24, 1932, in Mequon, WI the son of Andrew and Lydia (Seifert) Armbruster. He graduated from Cedarburg High School. Edgar served his country in the US Navy. On October 28, 1961, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Sachse in Mequon

Edgar farmed with his brothers Andrew and Jim on their family farm in Mequon until they moved to Eagle in 1969, where they purchased the Brown Swiss herd and operated Red Brae Farms. In 1993, Edgar and Phyllis moved to Muscoda with their sons. Edgar was proud of his children’s interest in agriculture and dairy farming, and happy his sons continued to farm. Edgar enjoyed driving tractors, going to street fairs and peddling his eggs, poultry and produce. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and eating apple pie and ice cream. Edgar was a man of few words but when he did speak, he opened your mind and made you chuckle. Edgar is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis; Six children: Jill (Chuck Jinkins) Armbruster of Livingston, Steve Armbruster, David Armbruster, Eric Armbruster all of Muscoda, Lea Ann (Jeff) Bleck of Glenbulah, WI, Beth (David) Storms of Muscoda; Four grandchildren: Elise and Brady Bleck, Calli and Wyatt Storms; Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Andrew and Jim. The family would like to thank the staff of Riverdale Healthcare for the loving care they have given Edgar over the past year and a half.
