Richland Culture Thunderduck (thun´der-duk) n. See below. Thunder____ (thˇun´der) v. Can be added to almost any part of speech to enhance or increase its worth. e e
R. Möbius Thunderduck (or “Moby Duck”) is the official Richland College mascot. As a Richland College student you are officially, and always, a Thunderduck. From the moment you enter Thunderduck Hall, you will experience Richland 's unique Thunderduck culture. Rooted in the belief that it is the whole person who best learns, teaches, serves, and leads, our programs and services nurture the integral nature of mind-body-spirit, valuing both emotional and intellectual intelligence. The mascot's middle name derives from the principle of the Möbius strip, which symbolizes for all Thunderducks the vital connection between their inner lives of mind and spirit, and their outer lives of service to one another, family, community, and our planet and universe. Richland helps students build their futures in a rich ethnic and diverse culture, where students speak more than 90 first languages.

Richland Beginnings College credit for FREE! Did you know you can get college credit while still enrolled in high school? The Richland College Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment Program provides a rare opportunity for bright, capable, and motivated high school students to receive college credit while they are still enrolled in high school. Enrollment in college courses, especially during the senior year, allows a student to avoid the part of American high school culture known as the "senior slump." While enjoying the traditional ceremonies and rites of passage that accompany the senior year, qualifying students may also enroll in college freshman level courses that will apply toward an Associate's Degree and/or university transfer. This saves time and money for students and parents. For more information call 972-238-6190 or 972-238-6116, or visit www.richlandcollege.edu/dual
