Then it’s time to sign them up to our European Tournament Camp.

In association with Sage College and Sherry Golf Jerez our European Tournament Camp offers golfers aged 12 to 18 the chance to get their tournament season off to the perfect start.

With the perfect combination of coaching, practice and tournament golf, players will have the opportunity to hone their game in preparation for a busy season ahead. Players will learn from expert golf coaches, while also making friends and creating memories to last a lifetime.

The man behind these incredible golf camp experiences is our Founder and PGA Fellow Professional, Rick Valentine, who holds a Masters in Sports Coaching, UKCC Level 4 certificates for golf and has been at the forefront of schools golf for over 20 years. Rick has also been a housemaster and run overseas trips for both schools and national governing bodies making him the perfect leader for such a trip.

To empower your child to achieve their golfing goals, to give them the chance to meet fellow junior golfers from around the world, while staying in excellent accommodation and being supported by experienced pastoral caregivers, there is only one choice.

ACCOMMODATION

We will be based at the fantastic Sage College for our accommodation. The college boasts fantastic facilities with twin and triple en suite rooms, common room, cafeteria as well as sports facilities to include a gym, swimming pool and astoturf pitch.

Sage College is proud to be opening new boarding facilities in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain), which will provide the best British Education in a privileged location in the south of Spain.

Jerez

Jerez is the largest city in the province of Cadiz. It is known for sherry wine, flamenco, guitar and horses. It has an important historical and cultural heritage, as well as “fiestas” and traditions that bring visitors from all over the region together.

The people from the south of Spain are cheerful, sociable and enjoy outdoor life.

The city has fantastic connections by land and air; 15 minutes away by car you can enjoy some of the best beaches in the country that you can enjoy everyday of the year.

COURSE

Designed by Stirling & Martin (Global Golf Company), it is an demanding course for both amateurs and professionals.

The course is characterized by being one of the longest courses in Spain:

Golf Course of 18 holes: 6572 meters, Par 72 Golf Course of 9 holes (Par 3): 911 meters

DRIVING RANGE

The Driving Range is one of the best in the province. It has the capacity to accommodate 50 players simultaneously. With a length of more than 250 meters allows practice with all clubs.

PUTTING GREEN

Sherry Golf Jerez has two practice putting greens. One is located in front of the terrace of the Club House, and the other next to the Chipping Green. Both are spacious and have been designed to to allow players to practice different lengths and breaks of putts.

CHIPPING GREEN

The Chipping Green is an ideal area to practice all aspects of the short game, with multiple flags players can practice different length shots as well as different lies with fairway, rough and two bunkers.

TOURNAMENT

The camp will conclude with a 54 hole WAGR ranking tournament, which will comprise players from the camp, local junior golfers and members of the Finland National Squad. Players will compete individually for the boys and girls championship as well as being able to represent their school in the team event.
