January 2016 Project of the Month The first project of the month for 2016 was submitted by Dean Petrulakis for his work with Robert Morris University. The project was the Robert Morris University Annual Giving Mailing. This project was printed on our Heidelberg XL 105 6-Color 40” press and our HP Indigo digital press. This project of the month really showcases Rider Dickerson’s deep relationship with its clients and demonstrates the level of trust our clients have in us to execute on their most important projects. Robert Morris University has been a client of Rider Dickerson’s for over fifteen years. In 2015, Robert Morris University decided that they wanted to re-launch their Annual Giving Campaign that had become dormant, so they turned to Rider Dickerson for guidance and collaboration to re-ignite their fundraising efforts with a high-impact Annual Giving kit. In the past, we have been able to create many successful print and marketing campaigns for Robert Morris University so they were confident in Rider Dickerson’s ability to deliver. “The Annual Fund Brochure is a very important piece that Robert Morris University puts out every year and this year we had some pretty specific goals to reach with implementing a new strategy. We wanted to work with someone that knew the brand, was strategic in the approach, all while implementing the latest techniques to help achieve a successful outcome. As always, Rider Dickerson was a pleasure to work with on multiple levels. Their professionalism was a key element to help us make deadlines, as well as make sure last minute details were taken care of while producing a piece of this nature. We were very pleased with the outcome and felt as though our best interest was always taken into consideration as we went through this lengthy process with Rider Dickerson.” - Christine Fisher, Vice President for Advancement at Robert Morris University
Like many of the high-end projects and campaigns we work on, this was a true collaboration between Rider and the client. For this project, RMU enlisted the creative talents of Rich Nickel at Elevate Creative. Dean and Rich have worked together on several other high-impact projects, which was a big help in this case. Throughout the entire campaign Dean worked closely with Rich to achieve Robert Morris University’s vision for the campaign. One of the key components of this mailing was the brochure. To really grab the audience’s attention Dean knew the brochure cover had to make an impact. He worked closely with Rich on the design. The front cover of the brochure included beautiful foil stamping and embossing on a beautiful deep red grooved stock. Dean’s vision for this effect played out in production and created an amazing visual and tactile experience for the cover. Because of the collaboration between Dean, Rich and Robert Morris University an incredible piece was created and the client was thrilled.
