Ridley College Summer Programmes
Throughout the summer months, Ridley provides a host of innovative day and boarding opportunities for local or international students.
This year, we are excited to offer expanded Summer Programmes including: • The Summer Academy; • English as a Second Language (ESL) Credit Programme; • Junior ESL Camp; • Discover Canada Experience; • The Summer Symphony Boarding Experience; and • Various unique day and boarding camps.

Summer Programmes at a Glance THE SUMMER ACADEMY The Ridley Summer Academy offers stimulating credit programmes designed to guide you to your true potential as a student advancing towards the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Ridley offers a variety of courses, delivered by our extraordinarily accomplished teachers within small classes of between 10 to 20 students. Type: Day or boarding Duration: 4 weeks
JUNIOR ESL CAMP This programme is designed for students aged 9 to 13 who are beginner to intermediate level English speakers. This program will help students with their writing, reading, comprehension and speaking skills in fun, engaging ways – both in the classroom and out in the community. Type: Boarding Duration: 4 weeks
ESL CREDIT PROGRAMME The ESL Credit Programme is designed for students aged 13 to 17 and focuses on reading, comprehension, media, writing and speaking. Students may choose to write for the Ministry of Ontario A0/B0 Credit at the end of the programme.
DISCOVER CANADA EXPERIENCE The Discover Canada Experience allows students to select from a range of day camp experiences such as Decisive Debate, Innovate Entrepreneur, CSI Ridley, or Robotics and spend the day with other international and Canadian day students. On evenings and weekends, students participate in Ridley’s co-curricular programme (arts, activities, and athletics) and take cultural day trips. Type: Day or boarding Duration: 3 weeks
In the afternoons and on weekends, students practice conversational and comprehension skills by participating in Ridley’s robust co-curricular programme (arts, activities, and athletics) and by making cultural day trips throughout the Niagara region and into Toronto. Type: Boarding Duration: 4 weeks

SUMMER SYMPHONY BOARDING EXPERIENCE Ridley is proud to partner with the Niagara Symphony Orchestra (NSO) to offer this performance programme for all musical skill levels and ages. Members of the teaching faculty are professional musicians and music educators selected for their knowledge and ability to inspire. These teachers are dedicated to creating an environment that instills a joyful appreciation of music and its performance while developing strong technical and ensemble skills. Type: Boarding Duration: 2 weeks
