DOGtimeâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s propaedeutic phase lasts for two years, three or four evenings a week in the first year and three evenings a week in the second year. The emphasis of the first year is on participation, collaboration, effort, research, experimentation, making choices and development. In the second DOGtime foundation year, attention shifts more towards reflection, deepening, development, independence and making choices.

Admission procedure In order to study at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, you must at least have a HAVO (senior general secondary education) or MBO (senior secondary vocational education) diploma at level four, or equivalent qualifications. You must also have sufficient artistic talent. During the admission procedure, the Rietveld Academie will determine whether you are suitable for our programmes. —First round: admission consultation —Second round: entrance examination —Written notification on admission

Entrance examination The examination consists of an admission interview with two separate admissions committees. During these interviews, you will present a large and varied selection of your visual work. Based on your presentation, the committees will ask you questions, for instance on your work, the homework assignments, your motivation, background, sources of inspiration and expectations regarding the study programme. Before the examination, you will have time to set up your work in the classroom in which the examination takes place. You will be informed in writing if you have

been admitted to the Gerrit Rietveld Academie after the entrance examination. You will then be given a registration form and papers for payment of the tuition fees. Your enrolment is definite if your registration form has been received on time and processed, you have submitted all the requested details and the tuition fees have been paid before 1 September, or if a direct debit mandate has been given for this before 15 July. Good to know: you do not have to register with Studielink yourself. The Academy will do this for you, once you have been admitted.

De propedeuse van DOGtime beslaat twee jaar en vindt in het eerste jaar plaats op drie of vier avonden in de week, in het tweede jaar op drie avonden per week. In het eerste jaar ligt de nadruk op deelname, samenwerking, inzet, onderzoek, experiment, keuze足bepaling en ontwikkeling. In het tweede basisjaar gaat de aandacht meer naar reflectie, verdieping, ontwikkeling, zelfstandigheid en definitieve keuzebepaling.

Toelatingsprocedure Om aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie te studeren, heb je minimaal een afgeronde HAVO of MBO-opleiding op niveau vier nodig, of een diploma dat daaraan gelijkwaardig is. Daarnaast moet je over voldoende artistieke aanleg beschikken. Toelatingsexamen Het examen bestaat uit een toelatingsgesprek met twee afzonderlijke toelatingscommissies. Tijdens deze gesprekken presenteer je een grote en gevarieerde selectie van je beeldende werk. Naar aanleiding van je presentatie zullen de commissies vragen stellen, bijvoorbeeld over je werk, de thuisopdrachten, je motivatie, achtergrond, inspiratiebronnen en ver wachtingen van de opleiding. Voor het examen krijg je kort de tijd om je werk in te richten in het leslokaal waar je examen plaatsvindt.

Ben je na het toelatingsexamen toegelaten tot de Gerrit Rietveld Academie, dan ontvang je hierover schriftelijk bericht. Vervolgens krijg je een registratieformulier en papieren voor betaling van het collegegeld. De inschrijving is definitief wanneer je registratieformulier tijdig is ontvangen en verwerkt, je alle gevraagde gegevens hebt ingeleverd en het collegegeld is voldaan vóór 1 september of hiervoor vóór 15 juli een machtiging voor automatische incasso is afgegeven. Berlage Fonds Naast het collegegeld vraagt de Rietveld Academie aan iedere student een bijdrage voor het schoolfonds, het dr. H.P. Berlage Fonds. Dankzij het Berlage Fonds kunnen studenten (kostbare)n eindexamenprojecte uitvoeren en kunnen studenten in financiële nood d worden ondersteun met een gift of een lening.

Een deel van de werkplaatsen is afdelingsgebonden, deze werkplaatsen zijn in eerste instantie bedoeld voor studenten van een specifieke afdeling.
