Date: Thursday 6th of October Time: 14:00-17:30 Departure: from Ráðhús Hop on our RIFF bus and tour the studios of Reykjavik!

The fi lm industry in Iceland is fl ourishing. The trip is designed to take RIFF’s International Guests to the front lines of all that our Industry has to off er. We will be visiting three studios and taking in the sights of the city along the way!

UPPTEKIÐ

Gunnar Árnason founded his sound company “Upptekid” in 1987 which is still running. In 2017, he started building his new studio in Kópavogur, with one booth, one small edit studio and in January 2021 he got Dolby Atmos Feature Certifi ed Studio license for the big studio. That was the seventh Scandinavian studio to receive this certifi cation. For over 40 years, Gunnar has worked in all kinds of sound departments: answer machines, audio books, music, documentary, video games, TV drama series and feature fi lms.

Trickshot is a full service digital post-production boutique located in a spacious facility in Reykjavík, Iceland. Our infrastructure allows us to work in every format that production can bring into the shop, and tailor the pipeline for any delivery specifi cation and schedule required. Trickshot is a Dolby Vision Certifi ed Facility. We off er the following services: color grading, conform & delivery, dailies, sound mixing and recording.

RVK STUDIOS

RVK Studios is a production company with focus on fi lm and television. The company has produced movies like Jar City, The Deep, Virgin Mountain and the Oath. It has also produced Baltasar Kormákur‘s Two Guns, Everest, Contraband and Adrift. RVK Studios fi rst 10-part crime series Trapped launched in 2016 with international success. RVK Studios off ers full production services for fi lms, television and photoshoot in Iceland.
