Halo! Rifka (24 years old) is here, an Indonesian who is living in Malaysia for 6 years. I am a final year master student of Information System and a graphic designer at the same time. During my university, I was a creative designer and a proven leader of Junior Start-Up Business Planning Challenge and established operations offers expertise in defining technical strategies that support overall business objectives. Adviser to creative ideas of management and design. A lead of event organizer for Fedora Open Source. I also am currently working with Photobook Worldwide base in Malaysia as graphic designer. Make all the task done on time is my principle while working. Giving idea every week, and working with creative team always get me inspired to be an intelligent person in graphic and understanding customer’s perspective, even though I am an IT basic. Being passionate with creative thing-y makes me realize “who I am”, “what I’d like to do next”, and “what I am obsessed with”. Starting from producing new ready template and ended up as photographer and a stylist for product photo shoot are part of my job. Producing new ready templates for customer is the main role for creative department, such as designing Hard Cover Photo Book, Softcover Photo Book, Lay Flat Photo Book, Flush Mount Album, Greeting Card, Poster, Large Format Print, Calendar, Photo Gifts (such Gift Wrap, Phone Cases, and Desktop Plaque), and Home Decor products (such Canvas, Pillow Case, and Metal Print) are my responsibility as graphic designer. The struggle of a designer has not stopped on designing only, a designer must be responsible in its own FA designs (be a DTP artist for its own designs) and make it live on website. And also as a photographer, I did and directed the photoshoot for the existing products, upcoming products.
Another task will always come from marketing department and business development department which mean I am required to handle campaigns, emailers, and newsletters and website contents. Campaigns always come out with different discount and different style. Not only campaigns, emailers and newsletters, we also have task such as making vouchers, brochures, banners, backdrop for events. My enthusiastic involvement in many activities outside the academic circle has served me well too. I have the opportunities to lead, initiate, and manage as well as developing the ability to work with people with different level and social backgrounds.
