Hyper_Natural is strongly influenced by a journey to California. It explores the c o n t r a s t i n g a s p e c t s o f r e a l i t y a n d u n r e a l i t y. Silhouettes and textures in the collection are informed by the craftsmanship of Native American costume and weaving, incorporating innovative textiles and h y p e r- re a l colour palettes - inspired by Jeff Koons and Umberto Eco in the form of f e a t h e r s , m e t a l l i c y a r n s a n d f o i l l e a t h e r. A sense of irony plays into the collection and leads to kitsch elements. Overall, the outcome is something ordinary presented in an u n e x p e c t e d w a y, n o t i n a n a t t e m p t t o b e eccentric but to be surprisingly relevant.
