CONCOURS DU POLE CULTUREL DE FES ARCHITECTURE FOR THE CITY OF SIDI IFNI CONSULTATION ERRACHIDIA SAINT GOBAIN COMPETITION FINAL GRADUATE THESIS

Beyond its cultural dimension and its artistic vocation, the Cultural Pole of Fez will be a landmark that reflects both the identity of the city of Fez and architectural modernity. It will reinterpret its brand image by using its location, near the entrance to the city.

The architectural statement of the project takes shape from multiple considerations :

The main idea is to create a building at the entrance of the city, which offers a link and an attachment to the city of Fez, which meets the requirements of sustainable development and reflects the image between tradition and modernity.

The overall approach was to adopt a refined modern vision with aspects of Moroccan architecture by integrating our heritage during the design of the project and not just embalming it in a vision of sanctification of the past.

The concept is to reinterpret the medina route and ambience created by craftsmen in a contemporary way in an attempt to replicate the atmosphere of the medina's alleyways.
