profile Hi. My name is Rio Siswono. I was born in Sukabumi, 18th March 1992 and I’m 26 years old. Starting from drawing with black carbon paper when I was 10 years old, since then I started studying various press arts, such as stencil, linocut. At the age of 16 I began to get acquainted with graphic design and started by making an annual book project in senior high school. Since then I have decided to learn more about graphic design. It extends forward into college to this day who later became my career goals.

Anugerah Pesona Indonesia Mobile app, UI

Anugerah Pesona Indonesia award is the Most Popular Tourism Event of Indonesia which is held every year and fully supported by the Ministry of Tourism RI. Activities aimed at lifting the potential of existing tourism in urban areas into remote areas in Indonesia, this will continue to be developed better in an effort to increase tourist visits Nusantara and Abroad. The app aims to become a voting platform that can make more easy and informative to take a vote. A voter can discover more fact about the finalists and get the latest news about Indonesians tourism.

Kencana Group Branding, Logo Design

Kencana group is a small and mediumsized businesses concentrate on snack food and dessert. One of their products is Banana Kencana (banana nugget). On this project my role is to create an identity that can visualize company's profile. The identity I was created represent humbleness by combining symbol of luxury with calm color tone. The logo I was created was inspired by the shape of a crown Sundanese figure and the pattern was the Sundanese batik.

Sukaroom - DIY Mushroom Packaging

Sukaponic is an urban farming company based in Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia. Sukaponic Focused on developing hydroponics & aquaponics technic to local farming movements. The company sells farming goods and also hydroponics & aquaponics farming beginner toolkits. I created a packaging design for a new product from Sukaponic, Sukaroom DIY Mushroom kit. This product is a kit for growing a mushroom from the box at home. So I decided to use a minimalist design but without sacrificing purpose of the packaging so it can adapt to the surroundings anywhere it will be placed.

Potong bagian kemasan log lalu sobek plastik bagian dalam log dengan menggunkan pisau. Keluarkan log dari kemasan lalu rendam bagian log yang disobek tadi dengan air selama 10 menit.

Siram menggunakan spray yang sudah terisi air 1 hari sekali. Lakukan penyiraman secara berkala bahkan setelah panen pertama.

Tunggu sampai kurang lebih 7-14 hari jamur akan terlihat tumbuh pada media log. Panen bisa dilakukan 4-5 kali atau sampai berakhir masa kadaluarsa log.

Bubur Odeon Branding

ODEON - a local family restaurant who served Chinese cuisine. Founded in Sukabumi, Indonesia in 1959. Their specialty is making rice porridge with slices chicken and cucumbers as topping. The project is to create a new brand identity to adapt with the current generation and make a seamless brand identity also easy to remember. The Logo itself is a result from tranforming 4 silinder, meaning "oneness" that can represent the ownership of the restaurant by the family from generation after generation.

Buletin Editorial Design

Buletin is an internal corporate magazine in Binus University. Buletin released once every 2 months and the content mostly about Binus University latest news. I have an opportunity to created the cover and layouting the content for 2 editions (JanFeb, Mar-Apr 2016). Every covers and layouts designed based on main issue every edition. I used bright-fun color for every cover and used a simple vector illustration, so it can easily communicates and also delivered main issue in fun way.

Here are the compilation of my selected work with Grasindo since 2014 until 2015. I created cover design and layout for a novel from various author. Every cover design i created was based on the story from every main character and visualize with illustration.

CNTC - Time Will Tell Illustrion, Cover Design

CNTC is a pop-punk band based in Sukabumi. Their music was inspired by A Day To Remember, Transit, and Man Overboard. The main concept is storytelling about times based on its album lyrics & members' personal experiences. Linocut outlines influenced the main treatment of the whole visual. The color using vintage tones ambient to describe the idea which is timeless.

Retrograde is a display font inspired by the shape of Monolith. Retrograde was made during the making of my portfolio and later on becoming an ingredient for my own personal logo.
