Lot 24 Wilbur Shaw’s ‘Champion 100 Mile an Hour Club’ Jacket. The coveted leather bomber jacket awarded to Indianapolis 500 drivers who had finished the entire 500 miles without relief at an average speed in excess of 100 mile per hour - (rare in that era); “The most exclusive club in the world” at that time. Lot 25 “Water From Wilbur” sterling silver Trophy Cup, marked “Ortega, Mexico, 925”. 7 5/8”H. “Water from Wilbur” cup presented by Shaw to the winning driver of the Indianapolis 500 during his presidency of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, 1945-1954.; conceived and commissioned by Shaw. Lot 56 Impressive American Renaissance Revival carved walnut sideboard; Mid 19th Century. Elaborate sculptural carving throughout; fowl and game high relief door panels below a marble top with high relief scrolling dolphin supports, shaped back terminating with a scrolled fruit cluster and foliate crest with antlered stag trophy head sculpture. Lot 58 1937 Borg Warner Trophy awarded to Shaw for his Indianapolis 500 win. The cast bronze design with three dimensional marked Gorham sterling silver relief mounted on hardwood slab as a replica of the Borg Warner trophy. Shaw’s silver relief portrait and his name and race details (“1940 - 114.277 M.P.H.”) inscribed at the base, just as it is on the permanent, monumental showpiece to which each winner’s sculpted portrait has been added over the past 76 years. Inscribed title framed in laurel wreath on plaque: “BORGWARNER TROPHY - THE INDIANAPOLIS 500 MILE RACE.” 26”H overall. Bronze; 21”H. Estimate $30,000-50,000

Lot 61 The prototype winning Indy 500 driver’s ring. Wilbur Shaw’s gold and diamond Champion ring with enameled checkered flag, conceived as a gift to Shaw from his wife to commemorate his three Indy 500 wins. This special gift became the model for the now world-famous ring that is still today awarded annually to the winning driver of the Indy 500. This 10K yellow gold ring with five round brilliant cut diamonds and platinum accents was created at Ringmaster by Bardach Brothers Inc. of Indianapolis. Estimate $150,000-200,000
