12 COVID-19 UPDATE 13 CHAMPIONS CIRCLE 14 fINANCIAL SNAPSHOT 16 thank you
Dear Champion, Just last year we updated you all on the amazing progress we had made as an organization in five short years. We were excited about the successes and challenges that were ahead. We were ready to expand our services by adding more schools, and most importantly, serving more students who wanted mentors in their lives. As we began the 2019-2020 academic year, we did just that. We followed our strategic plan and scaled up our programs. We did this for one reason: to serve more students effectively. Our team always talks about our secret sauce which is meeting our students where they’re at and build meaningful relationships. We don’t just want our students to listen to us. We want them to thrive. We offer our students the opportunity to be authentic and evolve. You don’t need me to tell you that so many things abruptly changed for all of us this year. What hasn’t changed for us is our mission to empower the next generation. Right now, we are learning with our students that life can change at any moment. This global pandemic has allowed us to rise to the occasion and be the support our students need. While many tough challenges will face us in the upcoming year, I am proud to know you will be right here again supporting, advocating, donating and volunteering because you believe in our students. Together, we will Rise Up.
