The concept is rooted in the belief that sustainable living and community engagement are vital to fostering a harmonious urban environment. The architectural design seeks to bridge the gap between humans and nature, while also addressing the growing issue of waste management in coastal regions.
The architectural design of the urban room reflects the principles of sustainability and community integration. The space features flexible open areas for workshops, exhibitions, and communal gatherings, fostering a sense of togetherness and collaboration.
The recycling workshops serve as the heartbeat of this project, inviting both locals and tourists to actively participate in the preservation of the city’s pristine ecosystem. By repurposing trash from the boats, mainly focusing on plastics and glass, the workshops aim to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of pollution and empower individuals with practical knowledge and skills to make a difference.
Ultimately, the goal of this proposal is to create an urban space where people congregate to interact, exchange ideas, and improve the environment. Integraton of upcycling is essential to its goal.

Site Plan Kepong Botanic Gardens
The Kepong Botanic Gardens and the surrounding community can both gain a great deal from a community gardening project, which will strengthen their mutual reliance. Above all, a project of this kind might improve the gardens’ aesthetic appeal and biological richness. By giving their time, knowledge, and creativity to the gardens, community members may enhance the overall environment and guarantee that the gardens are thriving and well-kept. In addition, by imparting useful gardening, sustainable farming, and environmental conservation skills and information, the project can empower the surrounding community. Neighbours can get knowledge about local flora, organic farming methods, and the value of biodiversity. Their lives are enriched by their newfound knowledge, which also fosters a sense of pride and ownership in the botanical gardens.
40
In addition, a mutually beneficial connection would develop since the community gardeners might use the resources of the gardens—like compost or water-saving methods—to improve their own gardening projects. By increasing foot circulation and support, the community’s active participation and upkeep of the gardens can draw in more people and ensure their sustainability. The Kepong Botanic Gardens become a hub for environmental care, education, and community involvement in this mutually beneficial partnership. Enthusiastic community members help the gardens flourish, and in return, by adding to the natural beauty of their surrounds, these people discover a feeling of purpose and belonging. In addition to enhancing the gardens and the community, this interdependence fortifies the bonds that bind them, fostering a peaceful and long-lasting cohabitation.
