Summer 2013 / Personal Statement
SELF PORTRAIT
Growing up alongside a civil engineer, a musician, and a sculptor as my father, mother and uncle respectively, has shaped the main aspects of my character. Specifically, I became very interested in my father’s profession as an engineer. Spending my time in my father`s office doing my homework, watching how they worked and asking questions, familiarized me with civil engineering and especially architecture. I studied hard to earn my place in the upper ranks of the nationwide public universities’ entrance examination, continuing on to study at the Art University of Isfahan (AUI), one of the best universities for the arts in my home country, Iran. Studying at a Fine Arts university provided me with a high potential atmosphere to gain experience in different media, such as graphic design and photography. In consequence, I became the art manager and graphic designer of Aftab Farda inter-university magazine. Following this position, I was employed by Roshana magazine as the resident art manager. This position offered me a challenging and exciting professional experience in the field of media. As an artist with a sensitive spirit, I have always been aware of the natural environment and concerned for its well-being. In 2009 I participated in the UNESCO world youth festival with the main topics of energy consumption and global warming. Since then I have focused my research and studies on environmentally sustainable architecture and building technology. Additionally, I have continued to explore other subjects, such as interior design and structural analysis, in order to gather more experience, knowledge and inspiration.
Although it was possible for me to continue my studies in Iran near my family, I preferred to continue my academic and professional development in a place with more advanced standards for higher education. Currently I have completed my Master of architecture at Dessau Institute of Architecture (Bauhaus) in Germany, as a beneficiary of a highly-stimulating, international academic environment.I have also completed courses as a guest student at TU-Berlin to make use of the academic resources available in all Berlin as well. Due to institutional differences between Iran and Germany, I cannot submit Zeugnisse for all positions, though examples of my professional work in these roles listed in my CV would be enthusiastically provided.

AGRITECTURE TO ARCHICULTURE This project tries to define a mindspace based on the city, its potentials, its problems and its current opportunities to improve. What does matter in this project is not designing a building or urban district as the result, but is to find an appropriate approach to affect the city’s situation by urbanism and architectural process. MASTER PLANNING Proposing The Function
From the urban scale studies, agriculture seemed to be the main subject of the further regional studies in the scale of Veneto provine, Italy and Europian Union. After regional studies in the field of agricultural demand in the city and in the region an agricultural and food science center was proposed as the best possible function in the site which follow different aims.
-Creating a connection between university, botanical garden and other scientific institutes and farming section. -Creating job opportunities for students and educational opportunities for farmers. -Introducing a new lifestyle for the young generation -Creating an educational center for children, families and visitors

Passive Evaporating Cooling System And Night-Purge Ventilation System The height difference of Foro Boario Building roofs creates the potential of catching the wind in summer, evaporate it and let it below between the new buildings. Large shaded area of Foro Boario, vegetations and controllable partitions on the side of the new building and placing the water based farms in front of the building can create a very effective cool breeze between two buildings during summer.

In order to avoid sliding of horizontal structural elements of the building, they should be connected to each other and they should be fixed at some points, using horizontal and vertical bracing.
The most important fact in Foro Boario construction is having no structural joint between vertical and horizontal elements of the structure which cause the roofs to slide on columns in consequence of sideways forces in an earthquake.
REHABILITATION OF FORO BOARIO Seismic Structural Reinforcement
Studies on the structure of roofs of Foro Boario shows that it is possible to cut out some parts of the roof which does not have any structural role to make the structure lighter and also to let daylight in where it is needed or to install PV panels and openings.

AGRITECTURE TO ARCHICULTURE
Shortly after the Foro Boario cattle market was built it was abandoned. As the new generation is more concerned about meat industriy and its effects on the environment and showing more desire to the vegeterian lifestyle , some parts of the Ex- Foro Boario is also turned into green houses for special types of plants and mushrooms which need less direct sun light . Some parts also converted into a grand fruits and vegetables bazaar.

AGRITECTURE TO ARCHICULTURE
The whole approach of the project was considering social sustainability. The main proposed function for the site is based on integrating different levels of urban and rural population to improve agriculture in a sustainable way. Creating a platform for different associations and organization to communicate and compete is also an important social aspect. In the agricultural products grand market all the producers are asked to explain the process of their production to encourage both producers and customers to a healthier agricultural systems and also increasing the social knowledge about farming process and it’s affects on humans health.

Designing a Multi-fuctional Complex in the Center of Munich Winter 2011 / M-Arch (DIA)
IN THE HEART OF THE CITY
At the center of Munich between main train station and Stachus, today is a large department store from the 70s and the five-star Hotel with its panorama restaurant in the exact axis of the Munchner pedestrian zone. Task of the competition was designing a multi- functional complex which includes residential, offices, retail, entertainment and a five star hotel in a way which the place has a new identity.
IN THE HEART OF THE CITY
Main Concepts And Design Process
The current department store is totally closed toward the city; however Stachus, the main entrance of the inner city, creates a very lively and crowded pedestrian area. The main concept of the design was to respect the historical surroundings by creating openings in volumes to let the historical elements to be seen. The other important design concept was to create a complex which is able to communicate with the city and people.

Designing an Auto Service Center And Exhibition In Isfahan This 6400 meters facility, located on Zobahan highway, Isfahan, is the most complete car services center in this city. The equipment and amenities in this spectacular new building enable the staff to provide their clients with an independent level of service and attention. The aim was to design an automobile sales and service facility in the city of Isfahan. The history of company automobiles is highlighted in several interactive exhibit areas throughout the building.

The main concept of the design was the site which was a hill and the whole complex was designed in an organic way. The close relationship between inhabitants and nature was considered in both houses and apartments. Because of the organic shapes of the complex, the structure and furniture had to be designed specifically for this complex.

Considering the topography of the site, villas are designed in two levels somehow the ground floor’s level roof shape stimulate the original topography of the site for the level above. CONCEPTUAL TRANSITION
Designing a Train Station in a Small Suburb of Tehran Summer 2010 / B.Sc. Arch-Ing (AUI)
CONCEPTUAL TRANSITION
The main concept was the retarding rhythm of the train when it is going to stop. Thinking about its sound while stopping, its path while crossing through the jungles like a snake and creating a organic form, and being alive though its a human-made device shaped the main concept and climate of the site and environmental considerations developed the design.

DUET HOUSE
Designing a house for a large family and a small house for a young couple in one site. The geometry of the site was unusual which affected the design geometry. The most efficient use of the daylight and creating passive ventilation were the main approaches, specifically because of the climate of the city of Isfahan which is hot and dry.

LAYERS OF KNOWLEDGE
Designing a Book Center In Isfahan City Center First Floor Plan Our design 1 main aim was practicing design methods, and choosing the appropriate method regarding to the project. The layers slide on each other softly and each of them creates an appropriate space for its specific function. The whole site was about 2000 sq.m. and located in a crowded place in the city center, so the design is somehow that can cope with sound pollution and traffic problems. The book center should invite people into the complex, so the pedestrian way goes through the architecture and there is no specific boundary between the site and the pedestrian way. Another important effective element in this design is the river of Isfahan. Some special places like gallery and book-cafĂŠ have a nice view to different parts of the river. Ground Floor Plan

INTIMATE DISTANCE
Designing a coffee shop with the area of 120 sq. m. was our task as a practice to develop a concept. My concept was to show and create intimacy in this coffee shop and to define another definitions for the possibilities of activities in a coffee shop.
