This is my first day at something my Mom and Dad call ‘school?’
There was alien life form everywhere, but Mommy just kept calling them kids.
Then this box sang to us peculiar songs and watched over us as we slept.
About the Author Beverlry A. Burchett placed second in the Billie Holiday Theatre Poetry Contest and thusly her love of writing was spurred.
