To extend the life of your Hydraulic Garage Equipment
Tip#1 Frequent Inspections:
Maintenance of hydraulic Garage Equipment should be carried out 2 to 3 times a year, but… you should inspect it, every time you use it. Before trying to lift a vehicle using the Garage Jack, it should be checked… to see if everything is in place. Checking for any cracks in the frame and if all the nuts and bolts are secure and tight.

Tip#9 The Cost of Maintenance Products:
Note: You should also check for any signs of hydraulic fluid leakage. This will prevent dust build up and ensure the hydraulic Garage Equipment is always ready for next use.
Tip#3 Use Grease and a heavy oil such as gear or differential oil to Lubricate Moving Parts:
Using the tips suggested above, you can extend the lifespan of any piece of hydraulic Garage Equipment and minimise any costly downtime. Even if you have top quality hydraulic Garage Equipment, the key to making it last for a very long time is through regular maintenance. The maintenance process for hydraulic Garage Equipment is pretty easy, but most people don’t perform it. Lack of proper regular maintenance is the main determinant of its longevity and durability. Proper maintenance is not rocket science and everyone can do it.
All the moving parts must be regularly lubricated. Most hydraulic lifting equipment will have mechanisms such as wheels, bearings, linkages and pivots with oiling ports or grease nipples to allow lubrication, follow your equipment’s maintenance manual for lubrication instructions and lubricate regularly, this enhances the overall performance. You should apply lubrication to all the moving parts, right after Cleaning hydraulic Garage Equipment.
Tip#4 Change the Hydraulic Oil:
Another essential tip in making sure that your hydraulic Garage Equipment is maintained properly is by ensuring that the oil is replaced frequently. When replacing the oil, you should be keen to note the exact level of the oil, so as to avoid potential damage to hydraulic Garage Equipment, due to overfilling.
Tip#5 Bleed (Purge) the Cylinder:
Bleeding the cylinder should restore the operating capabilities of hydraulic Garage Equipment. Release all the pressure in the cylinder and lower the lifting ram or lift arm, as this will alleviate any stress on the hydraulic system. When storing hydraulic Garage Equipment, always ensure that it is in the upright position. This will prevent the hydraulic oil from seeping through relaxed seals.
Tip#7 Safeguarding the Cylinder from Moisture:
Always make every effort to prevent moisture from getting into the system and mixing with the hydraulic jack oil. If moisture mixes with hydraulic jack oil, moisture in a hydraulic system can cause corrosion of ram, pistons and valves causing possible failure. To prevent moisture from entering the hydraulic system, never leave hydraulic garage equipment outside.
Tip#8 Maintenance Timetable:
Ensure your Garage Equipment is maintained on a regular schedule. When you have a schedule that you are sticking to, contaminants will not build up and this will help
