I am honored to serve as the superintendent of this amazing school district! Hempfield has a very supportive school community with a tremendous amount of pride for the district that is based on a foundation of academics, altruism, arts, and athletics. One thing that is important to me and our Hempfield school community is that our students have as many opportunities as possible to explore these foundations throughout their school careers. Each year, many of our students take great advantage of the opportunities made available to them at Hempfield, excelling in educational, extracurricular, and co-curricular programs. Our students and staff continue to rise to the challenges they face and I am looking forward to watching them shine this year. I hope you will join me in supporting Coach Eager and his staff this season. We are excited to see the results of the tremendous amount of work that they, along with the students, have given to be ready for this season. We want our entire school community to know how proud we are of our students! We believe that relationships are at the heart of why students can accomplish their goals, and our football program is no exception! It is important to me that every child progresses through our school system knowing that we believe in them, they are valued, and that we want them to grow, thrive, and achieve success. This can occur when our staff, advisors, and coaches create safe environments with high expectations and foster strong, positive relationships. It is through these relationships that every child in our school system will be encouraged to make positive contributions in all aspects of their lives. Thank you for your support of our school district and go Black Knights!

Having spent several years as a teacher at Mountville Elementary School, I am excited to return to Hempfield as the Director of Athletics and Activities. While there are many different aspects of being an athletic director, none are as enjoying or rewarding as supporting the student-athletes at sporting events. Regardless of the sport or activity, it’s great to be a Knight. From the off-season, pre-season, and throughout this year, the student-athletes on both sides work tremendously hard in the weight room and on the football field. Please remember they are doing their best and have made many sacrifices; they deserve your respect and support. In addition, the cheerleaders and marching bands are prepared for another great year as well. Just as the football players and coaches have prepared, the cheerleaders and band members and their directors have also dedicated countless hours towards crafting their skill. Please show them your support as Fridaywell.night football games bring together teachers, students, family members, and friends. Regardless of whose perspective, there is a wide range of emotions and excitement at these games. On behalf of Hempfield’s administration and athletic department, we ask that everyone that attends these games help to contribute to making this a positive environment. We expect and appreciate encouragement being shown to the participants from both schools as well as respect towards the officials and coaches. Go Black Knights! Ryan Landis, CAA Director of

2022 Hempfield Football Seniors

On behalf of the Hempfield football program, I would like to thank this year’s seniors for all they have given to the program. They have helped create a sustainable culture that will help Hempfield football compete year in and out. They bought into the core values of the program from day 1 and are leaving the program better than when they came in. Not only is this year’s group of seniors talented on the football field, but they are also great people. The staff and underclassmen will maintain relationships with these seniors for years to come. Personally, I couldn’t ask to coach a better group of young people. They have made me a better coach, teacher, and father. For that, I am forever grateful. Best of luck to all and thank you for everything!
