Greetings from the Octorara Area SchoolDistrict, the Home of the Braves!

I am honored to serve as the district’s Superintendent of Schools. As stated in the school community’s vision and mission statements, Octorara is committed to maximizing every learner’s opportunities for success. This commitment defines and differentiates college and career readiness for every student. It also encourages students to become Bold, Responsible, Ambitious, Energetic, and Selfless members of society as they pursue their opportunities and pathways to success.

One such pathway to success is participating in the school district’s athletic program. Athletic competition provides students with important lessons for life such as teamwork, self-discipline, hard work, and courage. By offering a wide variety of programs, our students can enjoy opportunities where they can apply and develop their talents, enjoy a sense of community, and continue the tradition of Brave Pride.

Dr. Michelle M. Orner

Superintendent of Schools

Octorara Board of School Directors

Octorara promotes a culture of high expectations in regard to sportsmanship and conduct. We are proud of our students, coaches, and staff who uphold these standards at all times. I would ask that you, as a spectator, support these standards when you interact with the opposing teams, coaches, and contest officials.

Octorara is grateful to the many parents, gameworkers, administrators who provide unrelenting support, energy and enthusiasm for our student-athletes and coaches. Without them and the dedication and leadership of our booster organizations, the school district’s athletic program would not be possible.

Thank you for your continued support of Octorara’s student athletes. I look forward to seeing you at the game.

Welcome from the Octorara Athletic Department! I am excited to be part of the Octorara community as we embrace another year of athletics at Octorara. I am proud to serve the student athletes, coaching staff, and parents of Octorara as a school with a strong sense of pride for their performance on and off the field.

Octorara athletics allows students an opportunity to grow and develop as productive citizens in our community as they develop the necessary skills through competition. As a member of the Lancaster-Lebanon League and PIAA we look forward to a successful season for our 16 programs. Our athletic department promotes appropriate student athlete development through your child’s participation in interscholastic athletics. The values our student athletes learn through their participation in our programs play an integral role in their development as they represent our Octorara community.

Good Luck to all our teams during their season as they continue the long tradition Octorara community has established. I look forward to seeing everyone as we continue our journey and celebrate our accomplishments and success. “ I’m Proud to be a Brave!”

Best wishes for a great fall season.

2022 Octorara Seniors

It’s truly been a pleasure to coach this year’s group of seniors. They have been part of the winningest team in Octorara history and have put in the hard work that it takes to build a successful football program. As their coach, I’m extremely proud of who they have become as players but I am more impressed with who’ve they become as young men. I am excited to see them lead our team throughout the season. Best of luck this year and in all future endeavors! Let’s go Braves!
