SHAPE OPTIONS. From custom sizes to custom shapes, Capel Braids–American Originals™ are our most versatile rugs. Crafted in our mills in North Carolina, our reversible braided rugs are offered in standard oval, round and runner sizes, as well as other shapes, and made to measure custom sizes, too.

TAILORED | Similar to a rectangle, but with oval shaped ends, our new, charming tailored-shape braids are the perfect way to get the best of both worlds. Braid is used to create the body of the rug. We offer a wide selection of Wilton woven runner designs that can be finished to suit the individual taste of each consumer. Perfect for spaces where standard sizes just won’t fit such as stairs, stair landings and hallways, our machine woven runners are crafted, cut and finished to shapes and lengths specified by the consumer. Choose from luxurious wool or performance-packed polypropylene options.

Capel custom runners can be finished to suit the individual taste of each consumer. For simple style, runner ends can be serged at no charge. Alternatively, runners can be fringed on each end for a more traditional statement. Consumers may also choose to cap one or both ends with a border. For end caps, three extra feet of custom runner must be ordered to make the border.

shape options | L-shaped runners with mitered corners can be made for staircase landings or hallways that make a 90 degree turn. Runners are custom cut on right angles and sealed, glued and heat tape sealed for an invisible seam. Custom shaped runners may be finished with any of the options above. Measurements by a professional installer are required for ordering.

Stair rods are sold in sets of six and are available in three fashion finishes: antique brass, plain brass and pewter (below). Each individual rod is solid, 33" in length and ½" in diameter. Each rod comes with two end brackets, two pineapple finials, two column finials, mounting hardware and installation instructions.
