DEAR BOLD ONE, As the Sparkle Women’s Conference approaches and we prepare to host you at the stunning Minneapolis Convention Center, we couldn’t be more expectant for what God has in store for us. We know there are so many women desperate to encounter Jesus in a new and significant way. My prayer for this year’s conference is that every woman in attendance will experience the life-changing presence of God, and that our world-class speakers and inspiring worship will speak to each woman intimately. We invite you to come alongside this sisterhood of women expectant for Sparkle Women’s Conference 2019, Clothed with Strength.
“SHE IS CLOTHED WITH STRENGTH AND DIG NIT Y, AND SHE L AUG HS WITHOUT FE AR OF THE FUTURE.” P ROV E RB S 31:2 5 N LT
What would it be like if each one of us committed to getting out of bed each morning clothed with the strength of the Lord, regardless of our circumstances? Would there be more joy? More peace? More love to share with others? We are believing that this year’s conference will help us step into the strength God has for each one of us. Invite your friends and register today – we will sell out soon like we did last year! We don’t want you to miss out on all the special elements mentioned above along with boutiques, an after party, laughter, photos and so much more! We can’t wait to see your beautiful faces in October! Love you lots!

A SYMBOL OF STRENGTH The feather is perfectly designed—lightweight and flexible yet also rigid enough—to help birds lift off the earth, glide through the skies, dive at death-defying speeds, land expertly on flimsy tree branches, and pump continuously for thousands of miles during migrations. Each bird species has just the right feather array and wing shape for its particular flight needs.

We asked these ladies to describe the women in their lives who are clothed with strength. Their thoughts are expressed on the following pages.

TO DAY, W H AT W I L L YO U P U T O N ?
Laid before you is an illuminated wardrobe of hanging garments. You grab the hems, assess the fine fabrics, the lush textures. The hangers rattle as the options slip past your fingers: Luxurious, jewel-ornamented Perfectionism—much heavier than it appears. Your hands find stubbly woolen Jealousy. Eye-catching and ornate Productivity. The threadbare and overstretched Worry. One by one, they slide off the hanger and over your body. The mirror reflects them back. None of them right, all of them illfitting. In haste they are just as quickly a piled heap. Motionless in the flurry, a wrapped box catches your eye. Almost forgotten,
carefully wrapped. A gift from the giftgiver Himself. You pull out the contents into the morning light. Beautiful. Rich. Bold. An emerald velvet garment of Strength. You place it around your shoulders and it lies smoothly, effortlessly. Highlighting the truths of who you really are and whose you are. You’ve received the gift. Now it’s time. Time to awaken. Within a company of virtuous girls, you clutch this Salvation treasure with a bright hope that already fills tomorrow. Come ease or adversity, your spirit is poised and positioned. Boots on the ground, you’re ready. In humble dependence, and in fullness of grace, you’re covered and clothed with Strength.

She’s vulnerable, but she’s strong. She has so many scars, but her scars tell her story with God. Her scars do not devalue her, they actually add worth, because she’s durable in every season.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.” H E B RE W S 12:1
Run Like a Girl BY PAS TO R J U LI A V E AC H PA R A PH R A S E D F RO M T H E M E S SAG E RU N LI K E A G I RL
Life is a race. Maybe right now it feels like you can’t keep up. You’re frustrated. You’re discouraged. There’s a stigma around running like a girl–she’s slower, she’s less than, she’s always trying to keep up. This stigma causes us to believe a lie. We become obsessed with trying to beat our opponent–often another woman. We live our lives with a must-win mentality, so fixed on what another woman’s race looks like, that we start to merge into their lane. It becomes hard to celebrate someone running at a faster pace than us. We come up with excuses as to why she is winning at life and we’re not. All of a sudden we’re no longer in our own lane–the lane God specifically and uniquely set up for us. But there is immeasurable value in running like a girl when we run the race in our own lane while committing to supporting each other on the journey with Jesus. As we support each other and lift each other up, we learn that encouragement goes farther than opinions. It takes patient endurance to run the race of life. When we can get past trying to beat one another, we can start learning to run with one another. If you want to run like a girl, you need to learn to run together.

If you choose to drive, there are plenty of parking spaces and parking meters. A day’s worth of parking usually costs $6-20. We recommend carpooling!
Visitors can catch a cab, Uber, or Lyft from any hotel or hop on the METRO public transportation system. METRO light rail and bus fares range from $1.75 to $3 based on time of day.
If you’d rather stay inside while walking, the climate-controlled skyway system is perfect.

WHY SISTERHOOD? Because we aren’t meant to do life alone. Sisterhood exists to encourage and challenge us as women to reach maturity in Christ. We want to know who we are in Christ and to passionately live out the purpose God has for each and every one of us. We are a group of women from every age and stage of life—mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, single, married, career-driven and stay-at-home moms. We promise to speak life over one another because we know that we are better together!
