John Wiedeman Radio Play-by-Play Commentator John Wiedeman enters his 8TH season as the radio play-by-play voice of Blackhawk Hockey. Wiedeman, 57, had served as the radio play-by-play voice of the Islanders from 2001-02 to 2005-06. Prior to joining the Islanders broadcast team, Wiedeman spent four seasons, as the radio play-by-play voice and Director of Media Relations for the Cincinnati Cyclones of the IHL. In 1996-97, he served as the radio play-by-play broadcaster for the Philadelphia Flyers. Troy Murray Radio Color Analyst Troy Murray enters his 16th year as a member of the Blackhawks broadcast team and his 12th year as the color analyst for Blackhawk Hockey. He made his debut as the color analyst on November 14th, 2003 replacing Dale Tallon who stepped aside to assume the role of assistant general manager before being elevated to general manager. Murray was originally selected by the Blackhawks in the 1980 NHL Draft. In parts of 12 seasons playing for the Blackhawks, he ranks 14th on the teams all-time assists list, 15th alltime in points and he became the first Blackhawk to win the Frank J. Selke Award for the NHL’s top defensive forward for his performance in the 198586 season.
