A place like no other, witness the mountain ranges, unspoilt countryside, spectacular railways and imposing castles of North Wales contrasting with rural Snowdonia and coastal Portmeirion.

Your itinerary

DAY 1 – Arrival in Llandudno

Arrive at your hotel this afternoon, later, we’ll go on a brief walk around the Victorian town centre, with its 19thcentury pier. Highlights include the Great Orme and its Tramway, with cable cars to the summit of the headland for great bay views. (D) + Included Experience – Orientation walk of Llandudno

DAY 2 – Snowdon Mountain Railway, Caernarfon & Distillery

We drive across the River Conwy and head to Llanberis for a breathtaking trip on the Snowdon Mountain Railway. This is Britain’s only rack railway, and one of the most scenic railway journeys in the UK. Afterwards, we’ll drive to Caernarfon for lunch, with time to see the wonderful castle. Later this afternoon we head towards Aber Falls to enjoy a whisky distillery tour and tasting. DAY 3 – Portmeirion & Afternoon Tea

We enjoy a scenic drive through Snowdonia National Park to explore Portmeirion. Located on its own peninsula, this atmospheric village is truly unique.

As this is a single-centre tour, we stay at the same hand-picked hotel in Llandudno for 4 nights, with breakfast and 4 dinners. Dunoon Hotel, Llandudno HHHH

DAY 4 – Bodnant Garden, Conwy & Wine Tasting

One of the most beautiful in the UK, Bodnant Gardens is a National Trust property overlooking the Conwy Valley. Discover its stately lawns, dense woodland and grand terraces. We then visit Conwy. Famous for its impressive 13th century castle, this traditional walled town is one of the most complete in the country. Later this afternoon, we call at a local vineyard to learn more about their techniques and enjoy a tasting before we return to our hotel. DAY 5 – Return

Perhaps enjoy a stroll along the promenade before returning home, or maybe an invigorating walk to the Great Orme. (B)
