tradition & innovation A pioneer in introducing the chain link mesh in Spain (Francisco Rivière Bonneton, 1854) RIVISA is the first and the only Spanish company manufacturer of metallic fences, railings, founder of the European Perimeter Protection Association along with other European manufacturers responsible for regulating and defining the industry quality standards and ensure that the manufacturing processes meet the optimum conditions for installation. Since its inception the company has invested in innovation and application of new technologies to production processes, without renouncing the use of quality raw materials, and working with the most appropriate tools and equipment at each stage of the product. RIVISA uses galvanized materials and has developed exclusive systems of coating like Rivisa Protecline® and Rivisa Protecline® Plus, which they are pioneer in developing and implementing the latest technology to prevent corrosion. These and other research projects are the result of permanent investment in I+D and the work performed by engineers and technicians who are part of RIVISA, a team of more than 180 people and keeps on growing. We are always involved in offering a global service that include the design and manufacture, marketing and installation, after-sales service, and advising the client during all phases of the project. RIVISA is known in the national and international market accompanied by the installation companies and distributors leading the market. Headquartered in Barcelona (Lliçà de Vall), several delegations in different parts of the Spanish geography and is present in over 15 countries.
create your space Under the slogan “Create your Space” RIVISA has developed a wide range of adapted products to the conditions and techniques characteristics to any installation: from metallic fences, automatisms and barriers, sliding and swing gates, mobile fences, to specific closing to high security installations, or latest technology registered products such as anti-corrosion coating systems Protecline and Protecline Plus.
Residential and rural fences Residential and rural fences manufactured by RIVISA consist of Lux® product line and are made of metallic chain link mesh, in plastic electro-welded mesh or in rectangular knotted mesh, which is the most suitable for closing large spaces. The metallic posts are between one to four meters high and are provided of longitudinal rack for fixing the accessories and the necessary staples to support the tension of the wires. All products in this range can additionally incorporate barbed wire in these installations requiring a level of security. The post of steel and panels are both common elements to all of them, although each one offers different technical characteristics. Housings and residential areas, stores, factories, train stations, industrial areas and industrial plants, as well as school areas, are some of the spaces where more frequently RIVISA installs this type of closing.
Residential and industrial fences RIVISA has a wide range of railings (Fax, Classic, Calitax, Nové, Ultra, Décor, etc.), that offer different esthetic solutions according to the typology of the terrain. Steel posts and panels are the two elements which are common to all of them, albeit each one presents different technical characteristics. Homes and residential areas, warehouses, factories, train stations, industrial parks and industrial warehouses, as well as schools, are some of the most common places where RIVISA frequently installs these types of fences.

create your space One of the new applications that RIVISA has incorporated inside this range of product is the specific closing for public and private swimming pools.
Sliding and swing gates Sliding and swing are the other lines of product. The gates can be light or heavy depending on the thickness of the meshes. In both cases they include support columns with square profile and lock with box of plastic keyhole cover. Option of installing an automatic locking system. In those cases where the security conditions need it, a supplement of barbed wire might be installed (extension arm). The sliding gates are presented in a wide range of models depending on the type of panel: Classic, Calitax, Ultra, Decor, NovĂŠ and Super. Concerning of technical characteristics, gate leaves made up of welded metal profiles, guiding rail to be embedded on the ground and mechanized doors are optional. All gates in this range comply with the required regulations CE for sliding gates when they are installed in accessible areas for people.
Automatisms and Barriers (Acces ÂŽ ) The barriers, automatisms and automation systems specially manufactured for sliding and swing gates requiring automatic locks. This product line offers a wide range of accessories such as remote control for opening and closing, luminous indicator, photoelectric cell with support, digital numeric keypad, anti-sabotage selector switch with key and wall push-button.
Mobile fences The provisional fences for construction sites and the mobile fences are one of the broadest product ranges of RIVISA, and one of the most common in both public and private construction as other spaces related like trade fairs, expositions, traffic and sport events.
create your space The Universal mobile fence and the Quattro Tubi mobile fence are both provisional fences recommended for construction site, while the Urban mobile fence and Urban Obvia are specific for events.
Sport facilities Besides fences and railings for sport facilities like football fields, paddle and tennis courts, and sport centre, RIVISA has the specific Sport® closing. This type of enclosure is made up of chain link mesh or polyamide mesh and is characterized by its great high since it can reach eleven meters of length.
Security fences Defence® Plus is the system which RIVISA manufactures for those facilities which require a high degree of security, i.e. airports, prisons, high schools and schools, military facilities and port areas. Made of rigid electro-welded mesh with three different types of posts, the Defence® Plus system prevents the passage of objects and people climbing. In addition, the system secures side viewing at oblique angles. The customer may optionally contract a combined security system, based on the Defence® Plus panels and including other security perimeter elements such as razor wire, double-line security wire, etc.
Electronic Security Systems Rivisa’s Electronic Security Systems Department specialises in the installation of all types of electronic solutions to complement fencing systems, i.e. video surveillance cameras, motion sensors, access control and CCTV.

RIVISA has developed a unique technology for the protection and maintenance of fences and railings, i.e. Protecline® and Protecline® Plus, an anticorrosion coating system. Protecline® is made of polyester-based polymer laminated coating and galvanised coating. Protecline® Plus includes a triple coating – a zinc-rich epoxy layer is included between the laminated coating and the galvanised coating. Both environment-friendly systems enhance the durability of enclosures, even in the hardest weather conditions, thus avoiding the need for maintenance. Thanks to these systems all toxic waste from the cleaning of materials is eliminated.
In 2003 RIVISA was certified ISO quality standard, adding on to the EC product certification which defines security requirements and performance of sliding and swing gates when installed in areas accessible to people. The application of this new standard was a challenge for RIVISA, who had to change its working methods and redefine the company’s objectives, focusing on activities that increased the safety of individuals.

completed works A E R O P O RT S A N D H A R B O U R S Final Fencing in the Charles de Gaulle International Airport, Paris Perimeter fence in the Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris, with a 2m00-high Chain Link Lux fence and 0m30 extension arms with 3 lines of barbed wires. Fe n c i n g i n t h e A i r B a s e s o f t h e A l g e ri a n Army A 2m50-high Maxi-Fax fence and Lux 80 posts were used for the fencing of the Tafaraoui and MĂŠcheria bases. The Algerian army has approved the Maxi-Fax fence as the security fence of choice for its air bases. Perimeter Fencing in the Barcelona-El Prat Airport RIVISA installed the perimeter fencing in the BarcelonaEl Prat Airport, with a 2m-high Chain Link Lux fence. The fence was made of Lux 80 posts and double extension arm for the installation of the barbed wire. RIVISA also carried out the fencing of the third runway in the Barcelona-El Prat Airport, with 14,000 lineal metres of final fences along the border of the air side and the final fence along the restricted zone. The entire fence was made of security Lux E.S.T. with double extension arm and barbed wire. RIVISA carried out the perimeter fencing in the Levante Airport (Valencia) and installed a Fax fence and Chain Link Lux fence of various heights. Perimeter Fencing in the Port of Barcelona Exterior perimeter fences with a 2m00-high Classic fence and green ProteclineÂŽ RAL 6005 finish. Interior perimeter fences made of a chain link fence with extension arm. Installation of several Light and Robust swing gates. Perimeter Fencing in the Sagunto Port Regasification Plant RIVISA installed the perimeter fence with various heights. The fence is doubled on the outer perimeter, forming a 4m-wide corridor. The fence comprises 3m-high Chain Link Lux fences, plus double extension arm with six barbed wires on concrete wall. PRISONS Perimeter Fencing in the Prison in Murcia RIVISA carried out the high-security perimeter fencing with a 6m-high Chain Link fence. The fencing comprises posts, 100mm in diameter, and concrete walls topped with razor wire in order to obtain the degree of security required in a prison.

Fencing at the Real Club Español Sports Village
2m00 and 3m00-high Chain Link Lux-type fences, a 3m00-high Fax® DH fence, 6m-high concrete walls topped with razor wire, high-security Defence Plus fences of various heights, and 6m-high security Chain Link Lux-type fences with barbed wire and razor wire were used for the fence. The system is equipped with the latest security technology and includes ground sensors, wave sensors for intrusion detection, and a motion and sound-sensitive cable.
RIVISA was responsible for carrying out the high rise Sport-model fencing at the Real Club Deportivo Español Sports Village in Sant Adrià del Besós (Barcelona).
Fencing in the Cuatre Camins Juvenile Detention Centre High-security Chain Link Lux-type fencing of various heights and 6m-high concrete walls topped with razor wire were used for the fence. F i n a l Fe n c i n g i n t h e C a n B ri a n s P ri s o n RIVISA carried out the final high-security fence in the Can Brians prison, which is located in the province of Barcelona. S P O RT C E N T E R S Fencing of the F.C. Barcelona Sports Village RIVISA carried out the high rise fencing at the Football Club Barcelona Sports Village, in Barcelona. A 10m-high Sport-model fence made of Duplos posts with Lux tubes, 80mm in diameter, and chain link mesh and strip crossbar to reinforce the fence´s stability.

The 10m-high fencing is made of posts, 120mm in diameter, and 100x100 high tenacity polyamide mesh. Fencing of the Facilities at the De Cantaixo Sports Stadium in Lisbon (Portugal) RIVISA carried out the fencing at the De Cantaixo Sports Stadium with a 2m-high Ral Oxiron laminated Ultra fence. OTHERS Security Fence at the EDF Electrical Substation A 2m50 Maxi-Fax fence plus 0m60 extension arm, with reinforced Lux 80 post were used for the fence, which is fully sensorised with microphonic cable. This electronic detection system for perimeter fences is based on the physical property of a cable, which has been specially developed to be vibration, cut and hit-sensitive, and which converts any intrusion attempt into an electronic signal. Fe n c i n g i n t h e L o g i st i c s P a r k i n B a r c e l o n a ’ s F re e Tra d e Z o n e RIVISA was responsible for the fence of the Logistics Park in Barcelona’s Free Trade Zone, which was made of a 2m40-high Ultra-special blue laminated fence.
completed works Desalination Plant RIVISA carried out the perimeter fencing with a 2m00high Classic fence at the Llobregat Desalination Plant, which caters for Barcelona’s entire Metropolitan Area and has an area of 5.3 hectares. The Desalination Plant has been constructed near the mouth of the Llobregat river and is the largest of its kind in Europe in terms of urban supply. The total construction budget amounted to ₏230 million, of which 60,000 were allocated to the
Vandal-proof Fence for the EU Summit of Heads of State Rivisa carried out the perimeter fencing with a reinforced 2m-high Chain Link Lux fence, made of LUX posts, 80mm in diameter, which was installed over concrete New Jersey-type barriers.

Fencing of the High Speed Train section RIVISA carried out the final fencing of a High Speed Train (A.V.E.) section in the province of Zaragoza, which included approximately 35km of Chain Link fencing and a Classic fence. Installation of an Ultra Fence at the Plaza Park in Zaragoza RIVISA carried out the final fencing of one of the plots at the Plaza Logistics Park in Zaragoza, with 2,500 lineal metres of 2m40-high metal Ultra-type railings made of welded square profile bars and metal posts. Collserola
RIVISA carried out the perimeter fence with a Lux fence and several special sliding gates. The Collserola Tower was constructed for the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games and was designed by the English architect Norman Foster.
