HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) is the largest private operator of healthcare facilities in the world. It is based in Nashville and currently manages 162 hospitals and 112 freestanding surgery centers in the United States and the United Kingdom. It was established in 1968. HCA International operates 26 clinics in the United Kingdom since 2008.
“The installation went without a hitch. I usually find out if something isn’t going according to the plan, and I didn’t hear a thing”, says Michael Gogola. For almost three years, ProActive has been checking HCA International’s computers. Michael Gogola is obviously relieved that no-one at HCA International has been found by ProActive, but also feel secure in the knowledge that the company now has full control IF it should happen. “We have an action plan in place, and feel that we can rely on both the plan and our contacts with NetClean”, says Michael Gogola.

NetClean makes the world a better place A colleague told me the other day how he had taken a step back and realised that what he does matters, it makes a difference. I perhaps don’t stop and think about it often enough, but when I do, I tend to agree: For ten years, NetClean has actually contributed to making the world a better place. We’d like to add that the work should feel important, but otherwise this all perfectly describes my first ten years at NetClean. When I think back to NetClean’s beginnings and how we saw the future at that time, I realize there is a lot that didn’t turn out the way we thought it would. We haven’t met our sales target, for example, which is mostly due to our financial aspirations back then being naively overambitious. On the other hand, we’ve become a global leader in our sector, protecting our most vulnerable individuals, our children, from abuse on the Internet. We work closely with police forces in many countries, and we are the ones they turn to when expertise in this area is needed. In December, we were accepted as members of the Virtual Global Taskforce, which includes Interpol and Europol. We get to work with the very best, companies like Microsoft and McAfee – something that naturally drives us to become even better, and that makes me and my employees very proud.

In February, NetClean Digital Crimes Consortium visited Barcelona to demonstrate NetClean Analyze in person to police and public agencies across the globe. The first dealt with how new technology protects children from an ever-changing crime, and the second, how images, video and audio can be analysed to identify victims.
The White Hat Ball collects donations every year for the British counselling service for children and young people, ChildLine. NetClean, headed by CEO Christian Berg, invited customers and partners to join them and contribute to this gala event. “The White Hat Ball is a win-win. ChildLine gets much-needed donations, and we get the chance to meet and socialize with our customers. This is the second year we’ve attended, and this year was very different from the last. It feels like we’re much more established now,” says Christian Berg.
