RTS Library Management Software is an enterprise resource planning system for the library, used to track inventory, orders placed, invoices paid, and customers who have borrowed. It includes a dedicated database, software for interacting with that database, and two graphical user interfaces (administrative, personal, and one for patrons). Modules are maintained in this software. Purchasing (ordering, receiving and invoicing). Cataloging (classification and indexing of materials) circulation (issuing materials to customers and receiving them back) serialization (tracking of magazine and newspaper holdings) OPAC (public user interface). Each cartridge and item has a unique identifier in the database that allows the LMS to track their activity.
