Residential Heritage Review Review of historical pubs

The aim of these studies is to identify places of heritage significance to the Inner West and assess whether they should be heritage listed in the Inner West Local Environmental Plan.

Area of Study Heritage pubs

In 2018, Council resolved to review the Inner West’s historical pubs to ensure that places of heritage significance had statutory protection. 29 pubs were investigated. Assessment of potential Heritage Conservation Areas (HCA)

Potential heritage in the proposed housing investigation areas of Dulwich Hill, Marrickville and North Ashfield was investigated to ensure that no significant heritage would be lost as a result of proposed uplift. Other areas were also investigated to address council resolutions, and recommendation from internal staff. Review of Period Buildings in the Marrickville DCP

Properties that are currently identified as ‘Period Buildings’ in the Marrickville DCP were reviewed to determine whether they warrant heritage listing. Removal of existing Items and Heritage Conservation Areas (HCA)

Eight heritage items and three heritage conservation areas were investigated to see if they continued to meet the threshold for listing at a local level. Amend heritage inventory sheets
