Word from the president... This year, the African Student Association (ASA) proudly celebrates 40 years of prosperity. For many years ASA has worked to create an organization that students of African descent could call their own. Raising awareness and fostering a spirit of pride among Africans have been a couple of the objectives of ASA. The E-board of this year has worked tirelessly and endlessly, sacrificing a great deal of time and effort from our academic and personal lives to ensure the best service possible for you all. As President, it has been a pleasure to work for and to represent you. I hope that some of you have the zeal and drive to continue on the legacy of the African Student Association (as elections are soon approaching). On behalf the E-board I thank all dedicated ASA members and friends; your support is greatly appreciated. Let us work to guarantee another 40 years… “We will not be stopped!” Olympia Jarboe President 2009 Semester
