“Laughter is the Best Medicine!” is the inspirational theme to this year’s Vision Gala hosted by the Northern Nevada Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The Vision Gala, April 24, 2010 held at the Downtown Reno Ballroom, features comedy from the well-known Sinbad, who helps JDRF stay true to this year’s them...e. In addition, JDRF honors government relations and advertising executive, Pete Ernaut and his wife, Wendy.
The JDRF Vision Gala features a semi-formal candlelit gourmet dinner plus an exclusive auction with sporting event tickets, dinner packages, autographed memorabilia, travel packages, jewelry and more. A highlight of the evening will be JDRF’s exciting Fund-a- Cure, where 100 percent of all money raised is directed to a specific diabetes research grant in honor of the Ernauts and Northern Nevada children with diabetes.
