Government Affairs Division Connects Legislators with Community

What happened: The Government Affairs Division of the Chamber recently hosted two successful events for our members and community, convening local political leaders with our business representatives.

Conversations with Legislators: State Legislators representing Northwest Arkansas gathered at the Rogers Lowell Chamber to speak on bills they are working on. They gave a brief review of current legislative issues. Attendees had the opportunity to meet, voice their opinion, and pose questions to elected officials in the Arkansas Senate and Arkansas House of Representatives.

Night out at the Capitol: Participants recently went to Little Rock during the regular legislative session to meet their Elected Officials and Legislators for an evening reception hosted by the Northwest Arkansas Chambers of Commerce. The entire General Assembly along with constitutional officers were invited to meet and greet Chamber members and our stakeholders.

The Chamber’s Advocacy and Government Affairs work represents the Voice of Business locally, statewide, and nationally; prioritizes the regional legislative agenda with local leaders; advocates for business-friendly legislation; and influences long-term prosperity and quality of life.
