2021 NZ AQUABOTS

Congratulations to the Junior Mecha Marines for winning second overall for the Regional NZ Aquabots competition held at the Aquatic Centre on 13 November 2021. The team consists of Bella Shaw, Liam Heighway, Ferne Hannah. Siwan Lloyd-Jones competed for Team Tahi of the Young Engineers Club from the Library and they came first overall. Julian Fears’ Subway United team from the Rotorua Library came third overall.

Our students qualify for the National NZ Aquabots Competition to be held in Nelson on the 26-27 March 2022.

YOUNG ACHIEVERS

On Thursday 11 November we were delighted and honoured to host the Celebratory Young Achievers Awards at a morning tea in our library. We were joined by Lee-Ann Thompson from Rotorua Energy Charitable Trust and sponsor Juliet Ramson from SuperDooper Print, Rotorua. Of course our Young Achievers were front and centre: Isidora GonzalezDiaz, Aryan Emile Chhura, Eden Brons, Jack Eggleston, Clay Fookes, Genesis SmithHuriwai and Harry Durbin.
