Methodology

Through collaboration with SAG Actor Pedro Garcia, filmmaker Robert Longoria will develop a series of video segments that comprise “Get The Part!” a course specifically designed to engage aspiring actors interested in the entertainment industry. Below is the methodology that entails the process of creating this six-part program. Through an extensive research process Robert will, in the development phase conduct six separate 2-hour interview sessions that will serve as the backbone of the “Get The Part!” course and supplemental ebook material. Once the interviews have been conducted, Robert will design the curriculum for the course with additional research for a targeted script review session with Pedro on January 31st, 2015.* After the Jan. 31st meeting, Robert will revise the curriculum and scripts according to any feedback provided by Pedro. Once a mutually-satisfactory draft has been completed the project will proceed into its pre-production with a shooting schedule determined, a budget allotted, locations and equipment secure, and determined next step. Production will begin once the allotted budget has been determined and raised. A proposed shooting schedule would entail a seven-day shoot with eight-hour workdays, potentially in March 2015*. Over a two-week period, any ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) will be recorded as needed. After a post-production period, the full “Get The Part!” course will be released through digital release via a pre-selected website at a retail value of $100 during Summer 2015. Should the profit of the digital release hit a threshold number, another “Get The Part!” course may be greenlit. * denotes a placeholder date, until a key decision is reached.
