3 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY YOUR NEXT LIGHTBULB
T
Really Cool Info - by Kim Komando
wo years ago, under pressure from the U.S. government, lightbulb makers stopped manufacturing the humble incandescent bulb. You can still find some on the store shelves, especially specialty and 3-way bulbs, but standard 40/60/100-watt A19s are no longer available. Unless you stockpiled a lifetime supply of incandescent bulbs, you’re probably in the market for replacements. Maybe you’ve already bought a different type of bulb and aren’t happy with it. That’s pretty common, by the way.
improvement of 28 percent over of incandescents. (More on incandescent, which puts them the really important color over the 25 percent limit needed temperature aspect in a minute.) to avoid being banned. If you want a no-fuss replacement So the energy savings aren’t too for your existing bulbs, this is still a good choice. But in four years, the second stage of the lighting efficiency rules is supposed to go into effect, and halogen bulbs will probably disappear as well. CFL Compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs have been around for a while, and they have improved since they were introduced. You can see up to 75 percent energy savings, and they’re supposed to last around 10 times longer than incandescents. Price-wise, they cost only a few dollars more than halogens.
I’m going to walk you through the options on the market, and very important aspects of buying bulbs that work well in your home. 1. Know the options There are three major alternatives to incandescent bulbs: halogen, CFL and LED. Each one has its pros and cons. Halogen Halogen bulbs are a more efficient version of incandescents. great, and they last only as long as standard incandescents. They also put out more heat than older incandescents, though many have an inner layer that reflects the heat back toward the filament for improved efficiency. In terms of cost, they’re the cheapest alternative, and they have the traditional color temperature

One concern with CFLs is that they contain trace amounts of mercury, which makes cleaning up broken bulbs and disposing of old ones a bit more complicated. Read the EPA’s recommended disposal steps.

2016 - THE OBAMACARE TRAIN CONTINUES TO DERAIL

OP/ED BY SPENCER A. LEHMANN, RHU
ave any of you noticed that the further along the ObamaCare Train continues to come off its tracks the less we Americans hear about the wonders of this not so wonderful law by Team Obama? And conversely, the more we are reading about the problems with the UnACA (UnAffordable Care Act) in the Mainstream Media? Abraham Lincoln said it well, to quote his oft used phrase, “You can fool All of the People some of the time, and Some of the People All of the time, but you can’t fool All of the People All of the time.” With every passing month a greater number of Americans are beginning to realize that they have been conned.

Even so, the increases renewed a broader debate about the Affordable Care Act and the state’s MNsure exchange, as consumers started scrambling for ways to deal with the financial pain. “I can’t take an additional $8,000 automatic increase in medical without doing something about it,” said Cindy Penning, 58, of Wilmont who currently buys individual coverage for her family of five. MR.TRUMP AND THE QUESTION OF ALLOWING MUSLIMS INTO THE COUNTRY believe only in jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life,” Trump asserted.
OP/ED by Ron Manera
I
’m not a big fan of Donald Trump. Too often he has committed unforced errors of the mouth, gaining nothing while sounding like a petulant bully although when he attacks real issues rather than fellow candidates, I do appreciate his direct, no-retreat, politically incorrect, combative style. Trump recently, in the wake of the San Bernadino terrorist attack, called for temporarily barring Muslims from entering the country “until our leaders can figure out what’s going on.” Stating that “hatred” among many Muslims for Americans is “beyond comprehension,” Trump went on to say that America needed to understand “where this hatred comes from and why.” “Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that

Reaction was quick, predictable and vicious, as political opponents and liberal pundits went equally berserk. The New York Times: “Repudiation of Mr. Trump’s remarks was swift and severe among religious groups and politicians from both parties. Mr. Trump is “unhinged,” said one Republican rival, former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida, while another, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, called the ban “offensive and outlandish.” Hillary Clinton said the idea was “reprehensible, prejudiced and divisive.” Organizations representing Jews, Christians and those of other faiths quickly joined Muslims in denouncing Mr. Trump’s proposal.” While Trump was speaking to the issue of Muslims entering the country for any reason (other than citizens returning) one might wonder, as I do, why so many Americans seem so enamored with the prospect of allowing more Muslims to immigrate to this country - specifically at this time.

Why do we wish to encourage and facilitate the continued immigration of a culture that does not assimilate and frankly wishes to supplant our American culture with their own - and our constitution with Sharia Law? Why? The United States government regularly uses a figure of 6 million to describe the U.S. Muslim population - and Islam is reported as the fastest growing religion in the country. If you are a non-Muslim, why should you be concerned?

ZALMA complaint do not wholly fall within the exception, New York’s long-standing policy favoring a very broad duty to defend requires Northfield to defend MPCC in the Wagstaffe Action.
ZALMA OPINION To avoid the duty to defend, an insurer must demonstrate that the allegations of an underlying complaint place that pleading solely and entirely within the exclusions of the policy and that the allegations are subject to no other interpretation. The District Court stretched the duty to defend as far as it could go and refused to consider the extrinsic facts that established that the allegations bringing the policy to bear was ridiculous and unproveable.

Prescient Hillary Clinton?
“Candidate Hillary Clinton
No one should be too big to jail.”
while on the campaign trail delivering a populist rant about taking down and breaking up Wall Street financial institutions - a favorite bogeyman of the political Hillary Clinton left. She may have cause to remember those words when the FBI concludes its criminal investigation of her handling of emails while Secretary of State - and the possibility of a myriad of charges stemming from the Benghazi hearings and subsequent public statements and statements made under oath.
Barbara Boxer Delusional?
“
Sensible gun laws work. We’ve proven it in California.”
Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) just after the Islamic Jihad attack in San Bernadino. Before the attack was proven to be Islamic Terrorism, every Democrat, beginning with President Obama himself, immediately leapt to use the opportunity to politicize the tragedy and push for stricter gun laws. Ironically, all four guns used in the attack were purchased legally in 32
California - already the home of some of the strictest gun laws in the U.S. What a stunning disconnect between their far-left love of gun control and the reality of there being no evidence these laws keep any weapons out Sen. Barbara Boxer of the hands of bad guys - much less Islamic crazies. Yet gun control laws do an excellent job of keeping guns out of the hands of honest, law-abiding citizens seeking to protect themselves and their families from the aforementioned crazies and bad guys. Really folks, the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun.
The Champ Speaks
“
They may have alienated many from learning about Islam.”
Muhammad Ali, arguably the greatest heavy weight boxer of all time, commenting on Donald Trump’s call to ban Muslims from entering the country. Ali belongs to a wacky subset of Islam, specifically Black Muslims or the Nation of Islam that comes complete with a mothership described as, “an aircraft, built by black scientists in Japan thousands of years ago, Donald Trump that cannot be detected accepting an award from by radar and circles the Muhammad Ali in 2007 earth with weapons that will be used to kill white people if the nation of Islam is harmed or threatened.” The sect, which is currently led by divisive Black racist Louis Farrakhan, has been described as “its teachings are not actually that

Hillary Makes The Big Mistake of Slamming Trump
“
Nobody has been able to back that up. It’s nonsense. Just another Hillary lie. She lies like crazy about everything. Whether it’s trips where she was being gunned down in a helicopter or an airplane, she’s a liar and everybody knows that. But she just made this up in thin air. I think my words represent toughness and strength. Hillary’s not strength. Hillary’s weak, frankly, she’s got no stamina, she’s got nothing….she couldn’t even get back on the stage. Nobody even knows what happened to her. It’s like she went home and went to sleep….She couldn’t get back on the stage last night I’ll tell you why. Because we need a president with great strength and stamina and Hillary doesn’t have that. We can not have another bad president like we have right now. We need a president with tremendous intelligence, smarts, cunning, strength, and stamina. She may have traveled a lot but she didn’t do the job because the entire world blew up around her. So she wasted a lot of time and www.underwritersinsider.com
energy and money and frankly she wasted a lot of lives because her policies were disaster for the world. The Middle East has blown up around her. Her decisions were horrible and hundreds of thousands of people have been killed because of her faulty decisions.” Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump opening both barrels on Democrat Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton after Clinton claimed in a debate that Trump was “becoming ISIS’s best recruiter,” after his call to block Muslims from entering the country. Clinton’s claim that ISIS could claim some moral authority to recruit combatants because of Trump’s comments - while they slaughter tens of thousands of innocents, trade 12-yearold girls as sex slaves, and burn prisoners alive is as patently ridiculous as President Obama’s claims that our holding area at Gitmo is a huge ISIS recruiting tool. Most of the savages held at Gitmo have never had anywhere near the quality of food, health-care, or recreational facilities afforded them at Gitmo - while all of their religious sensibilities are being respected. If it’s a recruiting tool for ISIS, it’s only because many would like to get INTO Gitmo...
