This reproduction of John Claude White’s album contains photographs primarily of Tibet and Lhasa focused on the major monuments and landscapes that he encountered during the 1903–1904 British Younghusband Mission to Tibet. Intended to be shown to a Western audience that knew very little about Tibet, this portable visual guide transports its viewers to the main architectural sites of power in central Tibet.
