We Show Up for Each Other

DAISY Award Winner: Lauren Bultmann

Congratulations to Lauren Bultmann, RN, 7E, for receiving April's DAISY Award. Her nominator said, "she is always kind and encouraging with her students or even with families who aren’t knowledgeable about diagnosis. I’ve seen her spend hours giving anatomy lessons and printing out literature to help her patient's family understand. Not only does she help their family, but she is the RN you want in your corner if you are in crisis!"

Lab Welcomes Two Texas Tech Interns

The Research Medical Center lab recently welcomed two students from Texas Tech University to undertake their clinical laboratory rotation. This rotation offers the students a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various departments, including chemistry, microbiology, Flow cytometry, hematology, and blood bank. At RMC's laboratory, we take pride in providing a distinctive learning experience by exposing students to our complex testing procedures. As a Level 1 Trauma Center, we offer an advanced educational environment that allows students to explore cutting-edge techniques and technologies in the field.

Administrator on Call (AOC)

ACNO Lindsay Goldammer was the AOC over the weekend. She rounded in the hospital early on Sunday morning to see night shift as well as day shift. Many were in good spirits despite the difficult staffing that we worked through. She met with the ER night shift and connected with the CNC's that were in staffing. The House Supervisor and I were in constant contact throughout the entire weekend when she was not in the facility. Thank you to everyone who spent their holiday weekend here taking care of our patients. We are grateful for you!
