Excessive heat can strip your hair of needed nutrients and volume, leaving you with limp, frizzy hair. Keep the water warm until you need to rinse out the conditioner,
which locks the nutrients into your hair and keeps it shiny.
Shampoo goes in the first few inches of hair at the scalp, where you get the most oil buildup. Conditioner should go from midstrand down to the ends, where hair is the driest.
While shampoo removes dirt and oil, too much can remove the good oils that keep your hair healthy and smooth.
