FORT COLLINS MUNICIPAL RAILWAY

Oak St. | (970) 224-5372 fortcollinstrolley.org As part of the Denver and Interurban Railroad’s plan to expand along Colorado’s Front Range, a three-legged streetcar line was built in Fort Collins. Today, you can take a ride on Birney Car 21, a 1910 streetcar that operates on summer weekends and holidays from 12 to 5 pm. This trolley is the only restored streetcar operating in the western U.S. The three-mile ride takes you down historic Mountain Ave., the heart of old Fort Collins. The trolley departs every 30 minutes from City Park and goes all the way to Old Town.

For just a $2 fee, you can enjoy your weekend experiencing Fort Collins history. Learn about how the Fort Collins Municipal Railway came to be while taking a scenic tour of Old Town Fort Collins.
