Already known for a beautiful Tennis Center in North Scottsdale, the DC Ranch Village Health Club & Spa is excited to announce the addition of 12 outdoor pickleball courts. Opening in September, the new courts will allow Village members to engage in fun social events and organized play for all ages and skill levels.
Quickly becoming a popular sport around the world, there are many benefits to playing pickleball at the Village:
• Easy to learn
• Fun for all ages
• Fills your competitive spirit
• Get to meet other members
• Equipment is provided
• It is included with your membership
Pickleball is a great aerobic workout and can help improve your agility, coordination and balance. It is a cross between tennis, badminton and table tennis and is very adaptable to different levels of play.
Too hot outdoors? Members can take advantage of indoor pickleball offerings at the Village, which includes Open Play based on skill level:
• Intermediate-advanced: Every Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with additional play on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
• Beginner: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 to 2 p.m.
The Village also offers an Intro to Pickleball Class (for ages 21+). Join instructor PJ Reinemann to learn the basics of pickleball, including skills, technique, and scoring. The class size is limited to 12 people and an RSVP is required. This introductory class is held on Wednesdays from 1 to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 3 to 4 p.m.
The DC Ranch Village Health Club & Spa is located at 18501 North Thompson Peak Parkway. The Tennis and Pickleball Center is located at 9800 E Horseshoe Canyon Drive, next to Copper Ridge Elementary School. The center also has a 2,000 square foot clubhouse with men’s and women’s locker facilities, a lounge area, and a great patio to view the matches. Snacks, beer and wine are available in the clubhouse.
