WARNING! Before disassembly or maintenance, all pressure in

this device must be relieved. Failure to relieve pressures may result in personal injury or device damage.

The resulting uncontrolled venting or spilling of process fluids may cause personal injury, loss of process control or environmental contamination.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE 1. Seat Check every six (6) months if in normal service, i.e. no sand or abrasives

APPLICATION The Series 2026 is specifically designed as a high pressure dump valve for separators and other process vessels. The body screws directly into the vessel connection.

This places the inner valve inside the vessel which allows any warm fluid present to retard freezing inside the valve body. The 2026 can be furnished without brass parts on specification.

ACTUATOR

Both normally closed and normally open have adjustable springs. The diaphragm case is made of pressed steel. Normal diaphragm pressure is 30 psi., maximum is 125 psi. Position indicator is optional.

STEM TRAVEL-1.

CAGE ASSEMBLY

The cage has no threads. It holds the "snap-in" orifice seat with the friction of an o-ring between the seat and cage. The "snap-in" method allows the seat to be easily removed from the body, as there is no friction at the o-ring seal between tne seat and valve body. The stem and plug, plug guide, packing plug, hammer nut, and actuator are a separate assembly.

Unscrewing the hammer nut disengages this assembly from the cage assembly and body.

All orifice seats are tapered 30 off vertical. The valve plugs for 1/4" and 3/8" orifices are 1/2" 0.D. ball type. and the 1/2" orifice has a 5/8" ball type plug. This ball and cone type trim provides the most nearly perfect hard seating surface. Though this is quick opening trim, the throttling characteristics are more than adequate for oil and gas production service when the Series 2026 valve is operated by a throttling pilot.

The plug body is hexagon and is easily removed by two small wrenches;

one on the plug and one on the hexagon jam nut.
