THE

INITIATIVE

This month will be spent educating our District on the importance and ideas behind the ELIMINATE project. We as a committee will provide the materials and information necessary to the education of the clubs and members.

L- Live (October) The idea of this month is simple. We would like the members to take a more active role, by making a donation, recruiting a donor or holding a fundraiser.

I-Inclusiveness (November) The goal will be to Encourage people who are not members of Key Club to become more active in the efforts against tetanus

M-Mothers (December) So often we thinks of the babies affected by tetanus, but it is the mothers who also suffer this month we can help promote safe birthing practices which help reduce the spread of tetanus.

I- Inter-club (January) Clubs will work with their corresponding Kiwanis, builders or K-Kids Clubs to come together and make larger impacts then they are able to do on their own.

N- New Ideas (February) Our Clubs will be encouraged to do something new and innovative for the ELIMINATE project. We could also possibly offer prizes or awards to the clubs that submit their projects to us at DCON

A- Analyze (March) This month, take time as a club, group or board to reflect and analyze the goals you have set and look at where you stand. Also make yourself aware of all the current ELIMINATE statistics.

T-Take a Major Leap (April) This is the month of District Convention, one of the most important fundraisers for our efforts toward the ELIMINATE project. There will be multiple opportunities to raise funds for our project.

E-End MNT This is the point in the E.L.I.M.I.N.A.T.E Initiative Where we as a District would love to have met our previously set goal!

We encourage all clubs to follow this initiative to reach our goal to ELIMINATE MNT!! Let’s make this our last year!!

E- Educate (September)

DUES? 2. 3. 4. 5.

It’s the beginning of another Key Club year again, so you know what has to be done. Get those dues in! Not sure how the process works? Here’s how: 1. Determine the price of your dues. Rocky Mountain District requires $12 from each member, but your club can add an extra cost in case you want startup money for the new year. I don’t recommend going over $20. Treasurers: collect the money and keep track of those who have paid their dues. Secretaries: for those who have paid their dues, update the Key Club Membership Center. Here, you can add and drop new and old members—every club should be doing this! If your club would like to earn the early bird award, get your dues in by November 1st! If not, dues need to be in by December 1st or your club will become suspended. Follow this link for more info and to visit the Membership Update Center: http://keyclub.org/dar.aspx

Send me stuff!

What is your club up to? I ask you all to keep me updated throughout the year on what your club is doing! I would love to feature you all in my newsletters. Send me pictures, interesting facts, articles, updates, or anything relating to Key Cub! You all are the base and most important part of Key Club. I’d love to see what you do this year!

Club Monthly Reports

That being said, I actually need you all to keep me and the district updated. RMD requires clubs to fill out Club Monthly Reports. These are extremely simple and take less than 5 minutes to fill out! You can find these reports on the RMD website here: http:// www.rmdkeyclub.org/#!clubmonthly-reports/cgkm. Please begin sending these to the district at the end of each month. I’m counting on you all!!
