WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO Hello my lovely division 16, I hope this newsletter finds you all doing well! The month of September has been a really busy one for me between work, school, and Key Club! This month I held our Fall Rally along with divisions 2 and 11. It was so much fun and I loved getting to see all of you that came. If you couldn’t make it don’t worry, I will be doing a brief recap of it later on in this newsletter. I’m real-

You’re never too old to go trick-or-treating, especially when you’re doing it for a good cause! This year participate in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, and the money you raise will go towards the Eliminate Project! It is especially important that your clubs participate this year, because this is our last big push to fundraise for Eliminate before we switch our fundraising efforts! Participating is super easy and fun, and you can order your boxes for FREE at http://store.kiwanis.org/ Product/Trick-or-Treat-for-UNICEF-KI92014-2696.htm. For complete instructions on how to participate, visit http://sites.kiwanis.org/ Kiwanis/en/theELIMINATEproject/SLP/TrickortreatforUNICEF.aspx.

Key Leader is Kiwanis International’s leadership education program for students. It strives to create a life-changing experience for students and inspire them to be the best they can be through service leadership. This year the Rocky Mountain District will be holding two Key Leader Events, one at Roundup River Ranch in Gypsum, CO on October 14th-16th, and one at Windy Peak in Bailey, CO on October 21st-23rd. I will be attending Key Leader at Windy Peak, and I hope to see you all there! To register you can go to http://www.key-leader.org/Find-Key-Leader-Events.aspx.

Fall Rally Recap On September 23rd, Divisions 2, 11, and 16 got together to hold Fall Rally. We started out with eating dinner and mingling with Key Clubbers from around the district at a nearby park. We then headed over to the Budweiser Event Center to begin the rally. We had some informational presentations about the basics of Key Club, DCON and ICON, and Key Leader. We then heard from our guest speaker, Ashley Lauwereins, a Kiwanian who spoke about her journey in the K-Family. Then we broke up into our officer training to learn more about how to be successful Key Club seniors with RMD Circle K mascot, Yeti the Eagle! in our positions this year! We ended the rally by coming back together and talking about all that we learned. Overall Fall Rally was super fun and very successful. Thanks to all of you who came, it was so amazing to see such a large turnout!

Dues, Dues, Dues! How much are dues? Dues are $12 in total, $7 of which goes to Key Club International and $5 that goes to the Rocky Mountain District. You can make them more and use the extra for your club’s expenses throughout the year!

When is the deadline to turn them in? You can start paying dues now! The Early Bird deadline is November 1st, if your club pays by this day you will receive an award at DCON! The final deadline for dues is December 1st.

If you have any further questions regarding dues you can either contact me or our District Treasurer, Diana Antillon, at rockymountaintreasurer@gmail.com!
